Sacha's lips quirked upwards.

"Nah, he deserves it for going to her first. I'm his main bitch. What a cock," he sniffed jokingly.

He dropped his arm around Dick's shoulders again. "Let's get back inside. Give him an apology, buy him a drink and all will be good. Then we can go back to dancing."

Sacha grinned. "You should have seen the way Chai went off on him the first time she caught him kissing another guy. You're positively tame in comparison."

The weight of the arm knocked off the weigh of guilt. He nodded. Then snorted.

That wasn't hard to believe.

"Well, I wasn't doing to actually punch him."

Probably.

Dick stood, shaking off the arm and finishing his wine.

"Let's go back down then. I need to get another drink. So will Chai, probably," he added dryly.

"Chai did. Right in the face. Broke two fingers and his nose. I just about pissed myself."

Sacha had thought it was hilarious. Especially because he had been trying to get it on with Chai himself until that point. He'd backed off then, fearing for his life.

He waved his hand in front of them dismissively. "Let her die of thirst, Girl is an independent bitch. She can buy her own drinks."

Sacha would probably take one look at her and buy her next drink himself.

Dick couldn't help but grin. A weird sort of pride formed in his chest.

It also certainly showed who had a less restraint when it came to their short tempers.

"I don't think Fleck will appreciate it if I made her dying of thirst. I'll make her die of alcohol poisoning instead - at least she will die happy."

"The paramedic in me tells me that's a bad idea. Good thing I don't listen to him. I'll help you poison her."

Sacha pushed open the door back into the pub and strutted in.

He made his way towards Chai, Corban and Anna. Chai was pressed between the other two in a very close dance. All three of them were laughing.

When Sacha approached them, he pushed himself up to kiss Corban, his hand cupping the back of his human's neck. "Hello darling. Did you miss me?"

"No," was the simple reply. Corban even managed to keep a straight face when Sacha pouted.

Dick lips could help but quirk up. It was difficult to believe they were even together.

He stood by Sacha's side, toying with the rings around his finger rather bashfully.

"Sorry, about earlier," Dick said to both Corban and Anna.

But he was sure if Chai could break his nose and could still dance - rather intimately - with him, he was sure he would be forgiven. Hopefully.

"It's forgiven," Corban replied, lips curling up into a friendly crooked smile.

"Thank you. For defending him," he clarified. "He needs more friends that aren't cunts."

Sacha's fair skin flushed ruddy. "So, drinks? My round," he said quickly, darting off towards the bar.

Anna and Chai laughed together.

"You think one day he'll get used to people caring?" Anna asked.

Chai just shook her head. "Nah."

Dick returned the friendly smile.

"It's no problem," he said as Sacha spoke over.

He shared a smile between them all, only because they all laughed. He couldn't help but find that rather sad.

Dick turned to look at the bar, and somehow found his way gravitating toward the man.

"I thought you might need a hand with those drinks."

Sacha was leaned against the bar, friendly flirting with the bartender as he prepared drinks.

He tilted his head when Dick appeared at his side.

"Thanks, babe." He patted Dick's shoulder then turned bodily towards him. "Didn't fancy dancing without me there?"

"There wasn't enough room between the three of them," he said dryly. He didn't fancy fourth wheeling.

"This is the first of your drinks- oh, back so soon?" It was the bartender who spoke to them, placing some drinks down on the bar. He had an easy grin as he looked at Dick, then his eyes flicked between the two.

"It's certainly nicer working when I have a good view."

He threw a flirty grin at Sacha as he opened a bottle of tonic, leaning back casually.

"Well, aren't you lucky that you have all of me to dance with?" Sacha dropped Dick a little wink.

Sacha then turned his dark eyes back to the bartender, and his own flirty grin came to his lips.

"Good doesn't even begin to describe us, mon cher," he purred.

"Awe-inspiring. Stunning. Breathtaking."

Dick frowned when the bartender's eyes didn't just land on Sacha.

"I might have to take a picture that will never do the view justice, yet be happy that I can still have something to look back on and remember."

He placed the drink down and started on another. He raised a brow to see if he got Sacha's stamp of approval.

Sacha sucked his teeth in obvious disapproval.

"We're not pieces of art to photograph and remember. We're men of class, right, Dick?" He raised his chin and dropped an arm around Dick's shoulders again, pulling the Vampire closer to him.

"You have to work to gain even the possibility of the privilege of a photo," he purred, lips quirking upwards. "We're not easy men."

Dick was still awkward even with Sacha's arm dropped around him. Yet he stayed, unable to help but watch the exchange, head buzzing.

"What do you think I'm doing?"

The barman lifted a wine glass and the bottle as he poured.

"Take pity on me. A working man like me can't help but fumble around such classy men as yourselves."

"Oh, mon cher. I don't pity. I forget."

If people weren't interesting to him - if they didn't treat him the way he wanted them to treat him - then he left them behind. Forgot about them.

The teasing smile never left his lips.

The bartender let out a dramatic sigh, heart on his chest.

"A shame, since you're so memorable. It hurts to know I just have to live my life as a forgettable person, never worthy."

He produced a card machine, his eyes dipped.

"What about your friend?"

Sacha chuckled lowly, pulling his wallet from his pocket.

He pushed the card into the machine and keyed in his pin.

"Happily above your league with a much hotter man," Sacha replied with a charming smile, whipping his card back out of the machine and sliding it back into his pocket with his wallet.

He picked up the tray and gave one last bright smile to the bartender before flouncing off towards their group, head held high.

The bartender didn't look put out by Sacha's comment, and he definitely loved to watch him leave.

"Hey, I did say I would help," Dick said.

Yet he took only his wine glass from the tray to sip at it.

"Oh, mon chouchou, you did. That bartenders soul attention is going to be on me for the rest of the night. I could kiss you for that."

He smirked at Dick, then set the tray down on the table of their booth.

The others flocked immediately, thanking Sacha for their drinks, then disappearing back to the dancefloor.

Dick laughed and leaned on the table.

"Save that for the bartender."

His cheeks now had a warm, permanent blush.

He took another sip of his wine.

"So," he stared, eyes flicking to Corban and then back to Sacha, "what is it like being in an open relationship?"

He was deeply curious.

He had lived his life with Giacinto and Nicio being in an open relationship - and being very open about it - but he never wanted to hear it. When Nicio and himself were together he guessed was technically open, yet he never felt like it was.

It was very strange to think back on.

Then there was that whole threesome talk with Fleck that niggled at his mind every now and then. Like now.

"Not tonight. I'll make him work a little harder before I decide whether I want a ride or not."

His gaze turned back to the bartender for a moment, then returned to Dick.

"It's... Freeing. Comforting. Corban and I, we trust more than your average couple. Many couples fall apart because they're worried about cheating. There's so much doubt. So much paranoia. Corban and I, we trust each other. We can see another person on the street, eye them up, talk to them. All the things that can set other couples on edge. And it's fine. If there's an itch that the other can't scratch, we go elsewhere for that."

He shrugged, his eyes searching out Corban. "But we know that we eat from each others hands. Above all else, through all the other bodies, we come back to each other every time."

Dick made an uncommenting noise as Sacha spoke.

Cheating wasn't something he was paranoid about. Sure, there was that incident a couple of years back, but that had been early on in their relationship.

The paranoia of not being enough? Something he was having difficulty shaking off. The comment about the itch suck.

He was quiet for a few seconds, swirling what was left of his wine in the glass.

"You make it sound romantic."

Sacha's last few words also stuck.

He thought his explanation would be more carnal than that.

"It's no more or less romantic than any other relationship."

He didn't want Dick getting the wrong end of the stick, there.

Their relationship wasn't perfect because they slept with different people. There were still flaws and arguments and unhappiness between them at times. That came with any relationship.

Dick hummed and finished his drink. He stayed silent for a little longer. Everything Sacha said still swirled in his head, along with that constant buzz.

He pushed himself up from where he was leaning on the table.

"Let's go dance again."

He floated off towards where could see the other three.

Sacha gave a smug grin to DIck's back.

"I knew you couldn't dance without me," he crowed victoriously, following after him.

On the dance floor he fell into the natural rhythm of the song again easily.

If there was one thing Sacha loved, it was dancing.
