[C][M] Confrontation

"He used to be," Den murmured under his breath.

He did remember the times when Desi was excited to see him and teach him something new. The times the two of them would sit down in Den's apartment playing Chu Chu Rocket on the dreamcast.

Those old memories made this attack worse. Desi had become something terrible.

The man's lips twitched upwards in a weak smile. "Stitches suck."

Dario disappeared down the hall, opening up Desi's bedroom. He began gathering up what he could in his arms and carried it out into the hall, opening the front door and tossing everything out into the hall. Then he made a return trip.

Again and again.

Hayden cleaned off Den's glasses until they were free of blood, fussing over him as he wiped all the blood from the man's face and cleaned him up completely.

"There you go."

He cooed softly handing the man back his now spotless glassed.

"Would you like something to eat and drink? You lost a bit of blood it's probably a good idea.

I made some fresh cookies."

His gaze turned over to Dario and furrowed slightly, what was he upto?

"Thank you."

Den smiled at the boy as he put on his glasses. Good as new. Bar the numerous pieces of gauze taped to him and the bruises swelling under his skin.

"Something to drink would be nice." He didn't want to eat right now.

Once Dario had cleaned all the crap out of Desi's room, he turned to Pina's.

The man didn't stop. He just continued piling everything in both bedrooms out in the hall with no care for what broke.

"I'll be right back, you stay here and relax."
He muttered, petting the man's knee gently as he pushed himself onto his feet and headed to the kitchen.

They didn't have much in the way of drinks, they didn't have the money for soda anymore, it was water, milk or blood.

Assuming the last one was out of the question Hayden made a pot of tea as well as getting a pitcher of cold water.

He put it on a tray along with a couple of glasses as a small plate of cookies.

Even if Den didn't feel like eating he wouldn't mind one and Dario might join them soon.

He padded out and set it all out on the floor in front of Den.

"Tea or would you like a glass of water?"
He asked as he poured himself a small cup of tea.

"Tea would be nice. Milk, three sugars, please," Den murmured softly as he laid back against the couch.

Dario glanced at them every time he passed to make sure everything was okay.

It took quite a while for the man to finally finish cleaning up and when he did he moved to take a seat next to Den on the couch.

There was a bright grin on his face and Dario looked more relaxed that he had looked for a long, long time.

Hayden smiled and got to work making Den his tea, scooping his the sugar until it was nice and sweet before adding the milk and handing it to the man carefully.

The sugar would probably do him a world of good, he didn't want the man passing out on them.

Hayden looked up at Dario brightly as he sat down.
"You look pleased."
He said with a little smile of his own.

"What were you upto?"
He asked tilting his head a little as his gaze flicked over to the door, all of Pina and Desi's stuff had just been tossed out.

Den sipped at his tea happily.

Dario grinned widely as he leaned over to pour a glass of water for himself. He pecked Hayden on the lips while he was leaned close to him.

"There are only three of us now."

He'd had it up to his teeth-skin with his family and that little act had been the one to break the camels back. He wasn't dealing with their shit any more.

Hayden's eyes widened at the news, he hadn't expected Dario to actually kick them out for good.

The boy pecked Dario back and then sat there stunned for a moment before smiling widely.

The house would be much better off without them around, they could actually leave stuff out in the living room or kitchen without it being stolen, better than that, Dario's pay wouldn't keep getting stolen and he didn't have to support two extra people.

He gave a soft sign of relief as the stress left his body, he had been so worried about Pina or Desi verbally abusing Ray again that he kept a close eye on the Vampire if they were home.

"That's such a relief."
Those two had been toxic.

Den chewed on his split lip as he sipped his tea.

This seemed like a private conversation that he genuinely didn't want to hear.

The man sat on the couch silently, eyes on the bloodied legs of his trousers. He'd have to buy new ones. These ones were torn and stained beyond his ability to save.

Dario sipped at his water, gaze turning to Den. "Are you going to be okay?"

Den nodded, his blue eyes turning up to Dario.

Hayden added another sugar to his own tea and sipped at it happily with a soft purr.

He picked up a cookie and chewed on it happily, he was glad to know that their money troubles would be a thing of the past now, Dario made enough to support them comfortably now.

He held up a cookie, offering it to Dario, he knew the man's sweet tooth wouldn't be able to resist.

"If you ever need help you know you can count on us."

Hayden didn't even know his man's name but he was more than willing to help if he needed it.

Den gave another awkward little smile. "Thank you."

This was strange. He hadn't seen Dario in years and now he was sat on his couch drinking tea like they were close friends.

Then there was the added embarrassment over listening in on Dario's late night activities from time to time.

This whole experience was very uncomfortable for him.

Dario leaned over to take the cookie from his boyfriend happily, completely oblivious to Den's flustered thoughts.

Hayden finally took off his apron and sprawled out on the floor, laying on his stomach as he sipped his tea.

The sleeves of his sweater only allowing the tips of his fingers to be visible.

He too was oblivious to the fact that one day soon, it could be him and Dario that Den would be listening in on.

"You think Rayner will want his own room now?"

He asked Dario idly as his legs swayed lazily behind him in the air.

Dario shook his head.

"I don't think so. He enjoys the company when he stays in our room with us."

He doubted Ray would want to move to his own bedroom.

Perhaps they could set up a room for Ray's writing, though. He could spend time sat in his own room just writing.

Hayden nodded as he thought that over.
"That's true, he doesn't like being alone when he sleeps."

The Vampire was still wary of being vulnerable, Hayden was just happy that he trusted them to guard over him during the day.

Hayden allowed himself another cookie now that they didn't have to worry about scraping through with every penny.

He lifted another up to Dario with a soft smile.

"We might be able to make the apartment a little nicer now they we don't have to worry about things going missing."

"I think first we need to just buckle down and make sure everything's paid and we have some money in the bank."

He didn't want to splash out quite yet.

His savings were nil right now. He wanted to put something back into them before they made everything nice again.

"Then we can make the apartment nice."

Hayden nodded softly, they weren't out of hot water just yet, it was best to make sure the bills got paid.

"Fair enough, at least you don't have to work such crazy hours now, you can relax a little."

He didn't have to work himself to death now at least, they had to be tight with money but they could still live off what they had at the moment.

"No splurging until we have savings."
He replied with a nod. There needed to be money for a rainy day, what if someone got hurt or sick, they needed a little extra just in case.

Dario smiled down at the boy.

Everything would be fine now. They would be absolutely fine.

No scraping through financial trouble by the skin of their teeth. No Desi or Pina to bring them down.

They'd be absolutely fine.

Den, who had been sat sipping at his tea silently, set down his empty teacup and clasped his hands together on his lap. "I think I'm going to go back home and get some rest. Thank you."

"You sure you're okay?"
He boy asked softly, he didn't want Den pushing himself if he was hurt.

"Dario why don't you help him home?"

He would be next to useless trying to help the man back down the stairs but Dario could do it easily enough.

The boy collected the glasses and put the on the tray.
"I'll tidy up."

He muttered with a smile as he picked up the tray and padded back into the kitchen.

"I'll be fine, thanks."

Den gave an easy grin as he adjusted his glasses and stood up.

"No, it's all right. I can make it down a flight of stairs by myself. I'll be fine." He didn't particularly want Dario walking him home. He wanted to escape the tense air around the two of them.

"Nonsense."

Dario followed Den to the door without any other word.

The two stepped over the piles of crap and made their way downstairs in silence.

Once Den was safe at home, Dario turned around and padded back towards his own apartment.

Hayden had been waiting for this opportunity for a long time now, they house to themselves, Rayner would be out for hours yet, he never came home before sunrise and Pina and Desi were gone for good.

As soon as Dario was out the door the boy rushed to their bedroom, searched through the wardrobe until he found what he was looking for.

Hayden smiled to himself as he padded back into the kitchen and started on the dishes.

He swayed his hips softly as he hummed to himself, the brush of fur making the back of his bare thighs tingle, the front of his body covered by his frilled apron.

"I'm home," Dario called as he closed and locked the door behind him,setting the key down.

His gaze swept over the living room.

No Hayden.

Must be in the kitchen, then.

He padded into the kitchen, pausing at the sight of his boyfriend.

Hayden eagerly awaited Dario's return, he could feel nervous bubbles forming in his stomach and when the heard the door open a jolt of excitement shot through him.

He could feel Dario's eyes on the exposed back of his body as he continued to hum and sway his hips softly, causing his tail to sway.

He looked over his shoulder, a soft blush on his cheeks as he smiled brightly and dried his hands.

"Welcome home, Love."
He replied, padding over and pressing a kiss to Dario's lips as he got on his tippy toes, acting as though he wasn't currently mostly naked and stuffed.

Dario's eyes stayed firmly on the boy's plugged backside as Hayden hummed to himself.

His tongue laved over his lower lip slowly as the blushing shifted padded towards him.

When Hayden leaned up, Dario gripped the boy's thighs and hoisted him up, wrapping Hayden's legs around his waist as he leaned down to kiss him deeply.

Hayden gave a soft yelp as he was hoisted up suddenly, his legs wrapping around Dario's body as his arms wrapped around his neck to hold himself up.

He kissed him back deeply, moaning softly in against Dario's lips as his fingers weaved through his hair.

It had been so long since they had been intimate, Dario hadn't been in the best of spirits and that had been the last thing of their minds recently.

He was hoping this good news would end their dry spell.

One hand supported Hayden, fingers pressing against the plug and pushing it deeper into the boy.

His other hand wandered, slipping under the apron.

His thumb rubbed against a nipple gently.

"To what do I owe the pleasure of my beautiful kitten dressing up for me?" he purred softly, nipping at Hayden's lip.
