[C] Fur and Sunshine

Chester stretched out his paws and gave a yawn before shaking out his scruffy fur.

He had been enjoying the sun and his outdoor time, he had seen Aodh and had a small play with Darragh but it was almost time for him to go back to Aleksandr's room.

It was nice though, being able to spend some time in this form without the fullmoon making him all hot and bothered.

Alek ran a hand through his freshly cut hair as he padded through the hallways towards the mansions back door. Still fairly long, the curls tickled his jaw and the back of his neck.

Today he seemed decidedly dressed down from his usual slacks and matching waistcoat. Light-wash jeans encased his legs and atop his usual white button down shirt, he wore a white leather waistcoat.

His face raised to the sun when he emerged from the mansion and a small smile played on the corners of his lips.

He would never get over the blissful feeling of the sun on his face.

Chester gave a whine and he writhed against the grass, if he wasn't careful he was going to stain his light fur green.

He rolled back onto his stomach as his ears perked, the back door was opening as from his position on the lawn he could see Aleksandr, looking handsome as ever.

Chester often wondered what he had done to be lucky enough to get two such good looking Masters.

He gave a small yip to let Alek know where he was as his tail began to wag, he was happy to see the man.

Alek's stormy silver eyes dropped to find Chester when the yip rang through the air.

He smiled at the pup and began a languid stroll towards him.

"Afternoon, Chess," he greeted in a light, lazy drawl. A tone that he only to use when he was perfectly relaxed.

Afternoon Master.

Chester rubbed his muzzle against the grass with a rumbling purr, the feel of the earth against him always felt so good.

He looked up at the man with a smile, one of his ears refusing to stay perked up as it flopped over. Even in this form, his ears were longer than most wolves, a byproduct of his half elf side.

Seeing Aleksandr so relaxed made him happy, when the man had nothing to stress over you knew things were good.

Not caring for the very real possibility of grass stains on his light jeans, Alek dropped himsel to sit besides Chester.

His hand reached out to rest atop the pup's head, scratching between his ears lightly.

"Lovely day out."

Chester gave a happy whine as Aleksandr sat down and scratched his head, moving to rest it on his lap, nuzzling against him.

It is, the sun is lovely.

On days like these he never wanted to go back inside.

"It's better when you're not near a city."

The open world seemed so much more wonderful when you didnt have a city nearby to marr the perfection of nature. The sun seemed brighter, the grass greener, the breeze more refreshing.

His fingers took up a rhythm, toying idly with the boy's ear.

At the end of each touch Chester's ear flopped back down, determined not to stay up where it was supposed to.

I could stay here all day.

He'd happily not move from this spot for hours and now that his Master was here he was even more comfortable nestled in against him.

"Even during lunch?"

Alek's hand moved from the pup's ear to stroke down his neck then rub at the thick, soft fur of his underbelly.

It was early afternoon. A little late for most peoples lunches, but Alek generally ate his meals later than usual.

That drew a little whimper from the boy, he was half lycan and the mention of food has his stomach growling against Alek's hand.

Chester rolled over, exposing his vulnerable belly to the man as he was stroked.

Maybe I could go inside for lunch.

He admitted, a little bashfully, he was enjoying it out here but he was hungry for his lunch.

Alek gave a low chuckle at the admission, scratching the pups stomach slowly.

"No... I think you're right. Its much too nice of a day to go inside." There was nothing better than teasing your pup.

"I fancy...bread and relish. Cheese and honey perhaps?" His gaze turned down to Chester to ask his opinion.

Chester looked up at the man with wide pleading eyes, he was hungry now that food had been mentioned.

He gave a whine as the small wolf licked his lips at the options.

Those sounded good.

Hot bread...with that spicy chorizo and cheese...

Tony had brought the best chorizo he had ever had, she had grilled thin slices of it and put a small dash of dark balsamic over top, just the thought of it was making him drool.

"That's very Spanish of you."

Alek had suggested something Greek and Chess had countered with a Spanish offer. That didn't happen too often.

He nudged Chess' head from his lap and stood. "We can have both."

Sometimes greek food confused him, cheese and honey? That was an odd mix of sweet and savory.

Is it?

He hadn't traveled much, often at times he was unaware of the origins of certain food.

Chester sat up when he was nudged and shook himself out before getting to his feet to follow Alek.

"Very."

Choritzo in anything was a very Spanish thing. He wasn't overly fond of the spiced sausage himself.

It didnt take long for them to reach the kitchen.

"Could you put some bread rolls in the oven?" he asked as he made his way towards the fridge; the house of the chorizo and cheese.

When they got back to the door Chester shifted and grabbed his clothes, pulling on his sweater and jeans.

After sweeping his hair from his eyes Chester went about grabbing the bread rolls and putting enough for the two of them into the oven and turning it on.

"Will Master Lycus be joining us?"

He asked, still holding the bread in case he needed to add some more.

"I'm not certain."

He hadn't spoken to Lycus since earlier that morning and there had been no talk about Lycus joining him for lunch.

"Perhaps you should add some for him, too." There was a chance Lycus wouuld decide to join them. It was around the time that Lycus ate lunch, too. He wouldnt be surprised if the Elf joined them.

Chester gave a little nod and put a few more into the oven before packing them away and setting the timer.

"Better to be safe than sorry."

He didn't want his Master feeling left out because they hadn't made any food for his lunch.

Alek piled a chorizo sausage and a few small wheels of goats cheese into one arm.

"Goats or cow cheese?" he called over his shoulder to Chester.

What cheese would go best with Chorizo? He didnt know.

"Goat?"

He wasn't entirely sure but he was fond of goats cheese, plus, any cheese went with chorizo, in his opinion.

Chester kept an eye on the rolls, he didn't want them burning or getting too crispy.

Alek nodded and set about preparing what he needed.

He began cutting the chorizo into slices carefully. He was fairly slow with the process. Cooking wasn't something he was amazing at. His menu of cookable foods was seriously limited.

"Fetch the honey for me."

Chester headed to the pantry to find the honey, pouting when it was on one of the higher shelves, it was times like these that he hated his short stature.

This had to be a problem enough because someone had started storing a foot stool in the pantry.

Pulling it out he climbed on top and gathered the honey, setting it down on the counter beside Aleksandr.

Alek leaned down to lay a kiss atop Chester's head when he placed the honey on the counter.

"Check the bread."

Alek turn his attention to the goats cheese, cutting it into chunks.

The boy smiled brightly as his head was kissed, he always adored that.

"Yes, Master."

He replied as he padded back over to the oven to check the bread, switching it off when he poked at it and finding it already going crisp.
