[C] Buon Natale

Fleck came awake on Christmas morning in a gentle way. He had his arms wrapped around Dick. That one was strange. They did enjoy cuddling together and falling asleep like that, but Dick was a fidgeter. Usually, he ended up halfway across the bed, limbs spread out.

But here Dick was laid in his arms, drooling on his bare chest.

Fleck smiled and pulled Dick a little closer, dropping a kiss to the crown of his head.

Their first Christmas together.

They had been dating last Christmas, but Dick had spent it at the mansion with his family. This year, though, he'd chosen to spend it with their family. With him.

He raised a hand to brush a few strands if hair from Dick's face, pulling them gently from the drool sticking the strands to the edge of his mouth.

What a beautiful mess.

The gentle moment, and Dick's sleep, was disturbed with a loud crash as his bedroom door hit the wall.

Into his room, and onto his bed, piled a handful of kids, all screaming a dozen things at the same time.

Fleck laughed quietly as he pieced together what they were screaming.

It's Christmas.
Breakfast is ready.
Presents.
Come downstairs.

All in a jumbled mix of Italian, English and Greek.

Dick wasn't a late riser, but he liked to raise in his own time and not to be disturbed.

He earned it after all those years of routine and disturbed sleep.

Woken with a start from the screaming and feeling the bed dip and jolt around him, he groaned.

"Sleep," was the only thing he muttered in English. Even with a bunch of kids sitting and jumping on the bed, he pulled the cover up and over his head and attempted to bury his face back into the Fleck's comfortable chest.

Fleck laughed when Dick disappeared under the blankets to avoi the excitable kids.

Fleck shifted from under the blankets (and his boyfriend) and got out of the bed. He herded the kids from the room with promises they'd be there soon.

All the kids disappeared, except Theresa, who scowled and crawled back onto the bed, yanking on the blankets to pull them away from Dick.

Fleck knew not to fight with Theresa.

A pathetic whine left him as he lost his comfortable human pillow and his blanket.

Fine. He can sleep without both. Especially now the screaming had stopped.

He made a grab for the closest pillow and sandwiched his head between another. "Fuck off, Fleck," came his muffled voice between them.

"Daddy says that's a bad word and you shouldn't say it til you're thirty," Theresa said gravely.

She pushed at Dick's backside and thigh, shaking him firmly.

"It's Christmas, Uncle Dick. You gotta get up!" She began to jump on the bed, pushing him and chanting 'Christmas' with every push.

Fleck just watched from the side, with a little grin on his lips.

Dick didn't stand a chance.

That was definitely not Fleck's voice.

His eyes cracked open and he peaked between his cushion sandwich. Theresa.

Dick groaned as he was instantly shaken but he stubbornly didn't move.

"Tell-" He stopped. Right. Italian. "Tell Uncle Fleck to get me a coffee and I will think about it. Black. With sugar."

Theresa shook her head stubbornly and pulled on his arm.

"No drinks or food in rooms on Christmas. It's time for family!" She yanked on his arm, putting her entire body weight into trying to drag him from bed.

Fleck just stood behind her, ready to catch her if she fell backwards. It was all he could do in this situation, apart from pray for Dick. No one went against Theresa on Christmas.

"It's time for sleep."

He was a little more awake now. His eyes were cracked open and he watched in amusement as she tried to drag him out of bed.

Honestly, he could easily curl up and go back to sleep until it was a more appropriate time to get up.

"Nu-uh!"

She bounced on the bed again, her knee catching Dick's ribs not so gently; a complete accident, but it would certainly wake Dick up.

"Uncle Dick!" she whined loudly.

Dick made a small 'Oof' sound as she caught his ribs and he shot himself up.

He was very glad he was a vampire in that moment.

"Fine, fine, I'm up! I'm up!"

He rubbed the sleep out his eyes and ran his fingers through his hair to rearrange his ponytail.

Theresa beamed at her uncle when he shot up.

She leaned forward to kiss his cheek, then shot off the bed and out to the livingroom.

Fleck, laughing, moved to kneel on the bed, leaning over to kiss Dick lightly. He ran a hand over Dick's dishevelled hair.

"Buon Natale, Dick. Merry Christmas."

A sweet smile turned his lips up when his lips were kissed, and he leaned into the hand.

"Merry Christmas, Fleck."

He smiled and pressed a kiss to his cheek.

"Buon Natale."

He made a lazy grab to the face wipes at the side of the bed freshen up his face and to wake him up some more.

"Do you think she would notice if I fall back to sleep?"

"You've got about two minutes before she comes back in here and drags you out," Fleck replied honestly.

He gave Dick another quick kiss then stepped back.

"I'm going to go piss, and braid this mess. Then we have to go grace the family." He lifted a tangle of his long hair, then disappeared down the hall towards the bathroom.

Dick let out a little sigh. Two minutes was nowhere near enough.

He went about his own morning business; cleaning his face, sorting his hair out properly, and making the bed, waiting for Fleck to return.

He also changed out of the clothes he slept in, feeling grimy. Pajamas were swapped for a large shirt and loose sweatpants that had to be comically tied tight around his waist.

Fleck returned a minute later with his hair tied in a loose braid, not too dissimilar to his older brother's usual style.

When he got back to the bedroom, he closed it and nudged the heavy rock he used as a doorstop on front of it.

Then he stripped, sending his boxers flying towards the washing bin, and headed to the wardrobe to find some clothes. Some festive pyjama bottoms and a black tshirt. He pulled it on before realising it was one of Jay's, and thus very snug fitting. But right now he didn't care.

He dropped his dressing gown around Dick's shouders, then pulled him towards the door.

Time for Christmas with the family.

The embarrassment that came with seeing his boyfriend naked had left. Now he was fairly open with his admiration, which hadn't waned and his eyes flicked up and down. The bottoms he couldn't care much about. But the shirt.

He wanted to rip it off.

He was dropped back down to earth when the dressing gown was put on him.

"No. Nonono. You're not going do stairs looking like that."

He tugged Fleck towards him to poke the bump that was his pierced nipple.

"I'm not going to sit around and have-" he dropped his voice low and conspicuously. "And have an awkward-"

His words left him, but he gestured down at himself in the general crotch area.

Fleck's brows rose when Dick stopped him and wrapped arms around his waist.

"It's a t-shirt. I'm not changing out of a t-shirt to save you from an awkward boner."

It was a little bit ridiculous that him wearing a t-shirt was turning his boyfriend on. He wasn't going to change out of a damned t-shirt.

He gave Dick's a quick kiss. "C'mon."

"A very nice, tight t-shirt."

It showed off his pecs and biceps well. Very well.

Plus, he had become pretty accustomed to lazy handjobs and blowjobs in the morning. That wasn't happening today.

Dick let out a tiny, partly playful, whimper.

"Okay, fine."

He pushed himself up on his toes to press a peck to Fleck's lips.

"Take me away."

Fleck shrugged. "It's a t-shirt." Tighter than he liked, but he was only lounging around the house all day.

He accepted the kiss, then kissed Dick's temple.

"Christmas time."

He led Dick down the hallway, and met with an impatient Theresa on the stairs. His solution for dealing with her was to lift her up and throw her over his shoulder, carrying her giggling self down to the livingroom.

Everyone was waiting in the livingroom, completely packed in. The majority of the family was there.

Emile was the first to greet them, holding up two decorations from the trees for them. The tree was always decorated with gingerbread cookies, and it was tradition to share them around on Christmas day.

Dick let out his own small laugh as Theresa was tossed easily over Fleck's shoulder.

He let Fleck led him into the living room, packed with family members. It was still fairly overwhelming. Especially when they were all crammed into a room like this.

He smiled softly down at Emile as he came up to them.

"Merry Christmas, Emile."

He looked at the two gingerbreads and jumped to the conclusion that it was for Fleck and Theresa.

The greeting wasn't familiar to him. He wasn't that great with English. Greek was certainly more his thing; the opposite to his sister, who much preferred English to Greek.

Fleck dropped the boy's twin beside him, and plucked one of the cookies form his fingers. "Thank's, kid." He ruffled Emile's hair, then went hunting for a spot to sit in.

He ended up pretty close to the tree, on the floor.

Emile held the second cookie out for Dick to take, bright smile on his face.

Oh.

The gingerbread was for him.

Dick returned the smile with a bright, sincere one himself.

"Thank you."

He took it and ruffled his hair in the same manner Fleck had, then joined him down on the floor.

Fleck wrapped his arm around Dick's shoulders as he bit into his gingerbread.

There was a round of morning greetings from various tired adults and over-excited children.

No one had escaped the children's excited earlybird ways.

Dick turned his eyes around the room, glad he wasn't the only one dragged out of bed early in the morning. If anything, he probably got a lie in, in comparison.

"Do you think I can just sleep here?" He murmured, resting his head on Fleck's shoulder, curling his legs under himself.

He bit into the leg of his gingerbread.

"If you can sleep through the noise, go for it."

He pressed a kiss to Dick's temple and settled, comfortable where he was. If he could block out the noise, he would fall asleep here, too.

In theory that was. Because then he and Dick were handed pages of bacon sandwiches and Fleck almost cried in sheer joy.

"I love you, Chai."

Said sister sneered jokingly at him. "You better be. Seeing that shit is nasty."
