[C][M] Enemy Territory

Ignoring someone left Dick feeling uneasy. It wasn't in his nature.

He couldn't help but glance up at the vampire as he spoke. There was a drawn-out pause as he met Giacinto's gaze again. He licked his top lip.

"Let's go back to how old you are since I can't remember a time them being the forefront of humour," he said when he really wanted to tell the young vampire to fuck off.

Giacinto's deep red eyes turned upwards in a lazy roll of her eyes.

"You're one of the oldest Vampires in the world, Dickie. You have no right to poke at my age."

It was true. At seven hundred, he was perhaps in the top twenty oldest Vampires around. It was difficult to reach older ages in their species. Giacinto and Zuri were both thought of as legends for their age. Dick, honestly, wasn't that far behind them.

"Will you?" The younger Vampire persisted.

He wanted to know.

"I'm not," he stressed. There was a mighty difference between his age and Giacinto's.

With some force, he managed to ignore the younger vampire as he persisted. He turned his gaze up to Fleck.

"This is when you should interrupt and agree with me like a dutiful boyfriend."

"You are. Denial isn't attractive, Dickie."

He was an old and powerful vampire. Even if he did act like a tantruming three year old most of the time. He couldnt escape it.

Flecks broad shoulders bobbed in a shrug. "Cant argue the truth."

"You're both horrible."

Not that he would have it any other way. He loved them both dearly, even if he did end up being bullied over something that was totally not true.

"Guilty," both replied, then turned their gazes on each other and laughed.

Incensed, the younger vampire reached out to grip Giacinto's forearm. "Stop ignoring me!"

Giacinto went very still, her gaze slowly turning to the Vampire child who dared to touch her. Her sharp gaze held his for a long, chilling moment.

Dick sat straight, alert when the vampire made a grab for Giacinto. His eyes narrowed and his lip curled, but he held still. Like a dog, waiting for their leader's command.

The two held their wtares for a long moment before the younger Vampire jerked back with a pained shriek.

He patted at his forearm, trying to snuff out the flames that nwo licked at his clothing and skin.

"Dont presume to touch me." Giacintos voice was as cold as her flames were hot. "My business is my own. You're not entitled to my every thought."

The younger Vampire glared up at her, cursing her foully.

Giacintos lips quirked up at the insult.

"In other words; piss off," Dick said, much less eloquently.

"No," Giacinto denied, sparing Dick a glance. "Sit. Stay."

With an undersandably wary glance the Vampire sat again.

"What do they call you?" She asked, head tipping to the side a little.

He regarded her for a long moment. "Takuo."

Dick's frown deepened, and something close to a pout crossed his expression.

His body remained tense, but he leaned back into Fleck.

Takou could go sit on a cactus.

Fleck dropped an arm around his pouting boyfiends shoudlers and kissed his temple.

He really wasnt enjoying this, was he?

"Takuo," Giacinto repeated. "When did Daddy piss in your cornflakes?"

Dick crossed his arms as Fleck kissed his temple, cool glare not budging from Takuo.

But he couldn't help but wonder, why did Giacinto assume Daddy did something to piss Takuo off? From what he assumed, with the badgering questions about whether or not Giacinto was going to take Daddy down, he was one of Daddy's.

Takuo arched a thin brow, more than a little impressed with her ability to deduce.

"Fifty years ago, give or take."

His gaze turned out to the room, settling on Daddy, who had a woman on her arm. The two were laughing together. Takuo watched on bitterly.

Giacinto nodded slowly, starting to get the picture. Everything seemed to be about love in this era. Really, a grudge over a person? She didn't really get it.

Dick followed Takuo's gaze his glare switching from the young vampire to Daddy.

He didn't put the pieces together and figure out what it was that pissed Takuo off.

Giacinto sucked her teeth, eyes drifting between Daddy and the woman, and Takuo.

Fifty years was hardly a grudge, really. She'd taken shits longer than that.

But anyone with a grudge against Daddy could help her out in the long-run. Even if it was this one.

The silent understanding between them was annoying. He wanted to know what it was that pissed Takuo off.

"Care to elaborate?"
