The First Day

Nicio had done a lot since he had last slept. He had been kicked out of his room, ended his mating and marriage, moved into a new room and reminisced about his family.

The Incubus needed sleep. A lot of sleep.

And so he was sprawled out on Dick's bed, his teddy in his arms, at that awkward point between wakefulness and sleep.

His boxer-clad form was curled under a pile of blankets and duvet's, spread eagle, with the plush tiger on his bare chest.

Sleep was needed.

So why wasn't it bloody coming?!

He grumbled darkly.

Richard frowned and groaned as another's weight was added to his bed. Pulled out of his light sleep into a semi-awake, he felt his body moved against his will as his side of the bed moved up, making him to unwillingly roll a little down. Murmuring gibberish under his breath, he rolled over completely, facing away from the wall. He cracked a bleary eye open, reconsigning the fuzzy outline of Ignicio.

His brain translated it slowly, and reacting twice as slow. With a hiss of; "Move over Nicio." he outstretched his leg and pushed hard into the other body - pushing him to the edge of the bed at the best of his half awake ability. Keeping his foot firmly on Ignicio's side, sprawled awkwardly across the bed, he fell back into a light sleep.

He groaned when the foot planted against his side, reaching down to curl a hand around the other prince's ankle as his free arm curled around his teddy.

Ignicio pulled on the ankle, drawing it across his body, pulling Dick towards him. "Shut up and let me sleep," he grunted, red eyes cracking open a shade.

It didn't click that Dick had called him by a nickname; he was too tired. Far too tired.

Pulled out of his sleep again, Richard growled in annoyance.

"No, you let me sleep."

He kicked firmly into Ignicio's side again. Not only to let out his frustration, but also to help push himself up back to his pillows.

Leaving his foot where it was (in case he felt that he needed to kick Ignicio again, despite the fact he knew he would probably do that unconsciously in his sleep). His other foot was inches away from the other, while his hand was curled under the pillow and the other stretched out across the bed and onto Ignicio's pillow.

A bed hogger he was often call.

Murmuring gibberish again, his body relaxed - to tired to hold his short lived anger. At the moment, anyway.

He sighed softly and shifted himself so he was lying on his side, staring at Dick silently.

Okay, he was sat at the edge of the bed while Dick took up the rest. How that was possible with the younger prince's small stature he had no idea.

But it wasn't staying like that. Not a chance in Hell.

He was going to get some sleep even if he had to kick Dick out onto the floor.

His hand reached out to bend Dick's arm gently, pressing it against his chest instead of letting it sprawl over his pillow. Next, he pushed gently on Dick's legs, straightening them out.

And, while he had the chance, he shifted forwards until he was lying on the bed with enough space to be able to roll over and not fall onto the floor.

There.

Now he could try and sleep.

Richard stayed in his new position for mere minutes - not one to just curl up like a cat and stay still for the entire night, not muttering a word... Or gibberish.

Eye lids flickering at the image behind them, the hand travelled back Ignicio's pillow. Only, the Spanish vampire's face stood in the way. Not bothered by this, the hand splayed itself over the top half and weaved the fingertips into the tuft of hair.

Rolling over completely onto his front, blonde brows knitted together, his leg found its way between Ignicio's. The knee precariously placed near Ignicio's groin, while his thigh put pressure on it.

Muscles relaxed and the minutes ticked by, and only light breathing came from the younger vampire.

The breath hitched, a hand clenched the white bedsheets and his body jerked - his knee slamming into the Incubus's 'crown jewels'.

Ignicio could deal with this new position. He could deal with the leg between his own and he could somewhat deal with the hand over his face.

But he could not deal with what came after.

He hunched over with a breathless yelp, eyes clenching shut. "Lavincompái," he hissed.

That was enough. That was not happening again.

His hand curled around the collar of his boyfriends shirt and yanked, pulling him over his body and dropping him not-all-that-gently on the floor.

"Ay, Dios," he groaned, hand laying tenderly over himself.

Richard's own yelp of being startled awake quickly turned into a strangled cry.

One hand clawed at the fabric pulled tightly around his neck while the other clenched around the dark brown hair as his body was dragged off the bed. His other limps, entangled with the bed-sheet, found themselves high in the air as Richard's head fell on the floor with a thud.

Desperately and angrily, he tried to unravel the sheets from his leg. Giving up with a loud huff, he soon turned his fiery glare onto Ignicio.

"What was that for?!"

He propped himself up, resting on his palms, eyes now wide awake as he glared up at the vampire he wanted to fling out of a window. Preferably one that was more then ten stories high.

Nicio's eyes cracked open to glare down at Dick. "What do you think it was fucking for?!" he growled back.

Being kicked in the fucking balls was painful and he wouldn't tolerate it from anyone; even his boyfriend.

"Sleep the fuck down there or sleep like a rock. No moving, no kicking me in the fucking balls." He took the time to notice that this was the most he had sworn in front of the younger man. He usually kept his profanities to himself. Nicio, for all his flaws, wasn't actually one to swear often.

And that made his hissed profanities much harsher.

"It is not like a purposefully did it!" Richard spat back, his glare hotly intensifying.

He was subdued to silence. A little taken aback by Ignicio's harsh and snapped order at him, not quiet expecting it. In all truth, it stung a little.

Tight lipped, he let out clipped: "Fine."

Dragging his legs of the bed, he curled himself up in the sheet on the wooden floor, facing away from the older vampire. Eye's burning a hole straight ahead as he gritted his teeth.

He huffed and turned over, hugging his teddy to his chest as he settled down to sleep.

But that incessant niggling in the back of his head was driving him mad.

And he knew exactly what it was.

He tried to ignore it for as long as he could. That lasted all of about five minutes before he sighed heavily and rolled over until his torso was hanging off the edge of the bed, held up by one arm.

The Incubus leaned forwards, running the backs of the fingers of his free hand down Dick's arm softly. "Look..." He pursed his lips, staring at Dick's back for a minute, trying to force out the words. One thing hadn't changed since they had gotten together: he still found it difficult to apologise to the younger prince.

"Sorry for yelling. It's just...unpleasant being kicked in the balls." His voice was soft, almost a whisper as his fingers continued to brush up and down his arm. "And I act like a shit when I'm tired."

"Come back to bed." He could deal with being kicked in the balls. Or he could sleep on his other side and get kicked in the ass instead. That was more comfortable than being kicked in the balls.

Richard felt cold. Which did not make sense, with the fact that this body was generally adaptable to the cold, and it was a warm almost-summers day. He blamed the hard floor.

Eye's still burning a hole ahead, he tried to will himself back to sleep, seeing that Ignicio was ignoring him back. Fingers gently brushed over the fading mark left were Ignicio dragged him off the bed, it will be gone in less then half an hour.

His arm tensed at the new contact. Lips glued together in a thin line as he listened to Ignicio speak, subtly moving nearer to the bed.

He features softened at the apology and his arm relaxed at the warm touches. Taking in the apology, he mumbled back: "Sorry for kicking you."

Pulling the sheet up closer, he stayed on the ground for another minute before crawling back into the bed. He shuffled right against the wall, back still facing the other Prince.

His lips quirked into a smile at the apology and he ran his fingers through the boy's blond locks before withdrawing back onto the bed.

When the man crawled over him, he leaned up to press a peck against his cheek before laying back against the pillows again.

After a few minutes he rolled onto his side, his arms sliding around the younger man.

Hearing the bed creak and move, Richard looked over his shoulder.

He clasped the hands wrapped around him, his body warming a little. Not in a blushing way, but in more of that comforting way.

Thumbs stroking the hands, a memory bubbled up to the surface of his mind.

"My sister and I had this problem, too." He paused and began to shuffle back. "But we worked out a way that left us with both few injuries... " Back pressed against Ignicio's, his ears pinked a little. Rather then his sisters soft body, he was pressed against the firm body of someone he like... And not in the brotherly sense.

Slowly, he moved Ignico's legs - forcing them to wrap around his.

With his arms free to do as they pleased, he dragged his pillow closer so his head was not laying in the gap between the the two.

He gave a soft purr as thumbs began stroking his hands. Dicks hands, though calloused, were much softer than his own. He had been training since he was only a few years old and over seven hundred years of training had made his hands very rough to the touch. Dick's softer hand were a welcome touch.

His legs wrapped quite willing around Dick's and he rested his chin on the younger man's shoulder, cheek resting against his.

Eye's sliding shut, he ignored the irritating feeling of the soft stubble against his cheek and neck. He sighed slowly, relaxing his body into Ignicio, half listening to the gentle purrs.

"Night." He mumbled, before drifting off.
