[C] End of the road

After a few long moments of being stroked his eyes fluttered open, their new silver colour having already set in, the colour contrasting against his dark black fur.

The wolf gave a high pitched whine.

He was too sore to moved and too tired to act upon his fluctuating emotions.

Instead he simply lay still, letting his eyes slide shut.

"Sleep," he murmured softly.

"You'll feel better when you wake up."

When Cain woke up, the aching would settle a little and he'd feel quite a bit better.

He just had to be patient now.

Cain couldn't stay awake even if he wanted to, changing had taken all of his energy.

As such his eyes stayed closed and slowly he gave into exhaustion, his body slowly becoming limp as his breathing evened out and he fell asleep.

Like this he appeared peaceful, there was no way of telling how much pain he had been in only moments before.

Wolfie sat up, waiting for Cain to awake.

His fingers stroked through the man's thick black fur as he waited for him to stir again.

He was proud of the man for being able to get through this.

Cain had done it.

He just hoped that he hadn't changed too much emotionally after going through something like that.

Only time could tell with that one.

Cain slept for hours, and once he was completely unconscious his body began to warp back, cracking and grinding back into his human form without his knowing.

The man didn't wake until the next morning, he had rested through the entire afternoon and then the whole night.

When he finally stirred, he did so with a low groan, all of his muscles ached horribly as he tried to move into a seated position.

Wolfie was tired but he dutifully stayed awake.

He needed to make sure Cain was okay.

So when the man finally stirred and tried to sit up, Wolfie moved forwards to help him sit, rubbing the man's back gently.

"Are you okay?" the boy asked in a tired murmur.

"I'm alright."

He muttered softly, his throat hoarse from all the screaming the day before.

He blinked groggily as he leaned forward, resting his head on Wolfie's shoulder, his skull felt like it was splitting.

"Everything really aches."

There was no part of his body that didn't hurt.

Wolfie's fingers waved through Cain's hair, massaging his scalp gently.

"Give it a few hours and it'll feel better."

His body would heal at an incredible rate now.

"It was a success. You're one of us now." His Cain was a Lycan now. He wouldn't age. He could stay with him now.

Cain nodded softly, giving a small smile as he nuzzled up against the boy.

He was a Lycan now, though he still didn't quite understand the depth of what that meant he was happy it was all over.

He wouldn't have to go through that again, once the pain died down he would be as good as new.

"I'm glad."

Wolfie chuckled softly.

"Wait til May and see if you say that again."

Cain had probably noticed that November had proved to be hard work keeping Wolfie pleased. The Lycan hadn't gone to his human too often with sex but he'd spent a lot of days curled up in their tent instead of going out with the group.

May was much the same and now Cain would have to deal with it, too.

The boy pressed a soft kiss to his lover's lips.

"Hmm?"

He muttered softly, curious as to what the boy meant by that, there was so much he didn't know.

Cain kissed Wolfie back, his hand reaching up to stroke through the boy's soft locks, slightly mesmerized by the feel.

He could already tell that his senses were stronger, he could see better, smells things off in the distance and hear everything around him.

"You'll want to fuck everything that stays still long enough," the boy chuckled softly.

Mating seasons were the bane of all Lycan's existence.

It was a pain.

His lips caressed his changeling's in a deep kiss as his arms wrapped around the man.

He was glad he was okay.

"That's something to look forward to then."

He muttered softly with a chuckle, that didn't sound like too much fun at all.

Cain kissed the boy back eagerly, wrapping his arms around him tightly, tighter than he was ever able to before.

"I feel different."

He murmured, his sense of touch was heightened and every little caress gave him shivers.

"It's like living in Hell," Wolfie whined softly. "May is tolerable, but last month..."

The boy shivered. November was terrible. He hated it. Especially when his lover was human. He'd had to hold back so much.

The boy pressed little kisses against the changeling's cheeks and chin.

"You'll get used to it," he promised.

Shivers chased through his body as his face was kissed, they felt amazing against his skin.

He took a soft inhale as he let his eyes slide shut, his senses were overwhelming him a little bit, but he would grow into it, he knew he would.

It would just take a little bit of time.

The man grimaced softly as his stomach growled, clutching onto it with a groan, he was starving.

Wolfie gave an amused hum.

"That happens a lot." Wolves were constantly hungry. The sound of Cain's stomach grumbling would ring in the air all the time.

"Let's find something to eat."

Wolfie pulled away from Cain to bend over their bags, rooting through them until he found the food. He unearthed a pack of sausage links.

"Let's go cook these."

Breakfast did sound like a good idea.

Cain agreed eagerly, food sounded amazing right now and he couldn't wait to fill his stomach until he couldn't possibly eat another bite.

"I'll start a fire."

He offered as he stumbled out of the tent slowly, his legs still ached but a lot of the pain had died down in his sleep.

It took him a little longer than usual to pad over to the fire pit but once there he made himself comfortable.

Gingerly he sat down on one of the logs, throwing some kindling into the pit before striking a match and lighting it, adding logs as it grew larger.

Wolfie collected together a few more packages of food then found their pan.

He padded out of the tent with his arms full of various foods. Sausages. Bacon. Spam. A tin of hot dog sausages. He knew that Cain would want to eat a lot.

They'd have to cater to two Lycan stomachs now.

Wolfie leaned over to press a little kiss to Cain's bare shoulder before emptying his load out onto the floor for Cain to pick and choose from.

The boy perched on the log besides his changeling.

"Still a little stiff."

He groaned as he moved slowly, his joins ached from the transformation.

Cain tore open the pack of sausages and bacon, throwing them into a pan and placing it over the fire.

He couldn't help but purr as the smell of cooking meat hit his nose.

"You will be for the next day or two."

It would fade rather quickly now that he was a Lycan. But his entire body had gone through a lot of stress. It was something that the man would have to suffer through for a while.

Wolfie chuckled softly as the man purred.

He was going to seem so much more animalistic now he had changed. He'd have a new appreciation for meat; have sharper senses and stronger instincts.

Cain would probably notice a lot of little changes now.

"Try to wait until its cooked. We can still get food poisoning from the uncooked crap that comes in a packet."

"Is it normal to be this hungry?"

He asked curiously, he felt like he hadn't eaten in days when it really hadn't been that long at all.

Cain turned the meat over, hoping it would cook faster.

A lot of things about him felt different, all of his senses were shockingly sharp now, it was a little distracting being able to hear, see and smell so much all at the same time.

The boy nodded.

"The hunger is something you get used to and learn to control."

The hunger would always be there but with time it got easier to deal with. He'd learned that himself.

Wolfie could eat enough to feed a rather large army, but he managed to get by on a somewhat larger portion than average. He learned that he could a certain portion and still be just as hungry as if he'd eaten ten times that amount.

It took him time but he found the amount that he'd eat that would get him through the day and sate his hunger a little.

"It wont be just a hunger for food that'll be heightened."

All his needs will be.
