[O] The Pantry Thief Empty
PostSubject: [O] The Pantry Thief   [O] The Pantry Thief EmptyFri Aug 07, 2015 9:38 am

Daji had been keeping much to themself, sneaking around the sanctuary and keeping their usual tricks to a minimum. This was all leading to a grand finale, of course. It wouldn't be grand if everyone expected it.

It was in the middle of the night, in the middle of the kitchen, and the little fox child was digging through the pantry, stuffing as much food into a bag as they could. On the way they also stuffed things into their mouth, gobbling as quietly and breathing hard through their nose.

The plan was going perfectly. All of the food would be gone and no one would suspect it was them! They could feast for weeks--

That is, if they hadn't been caught. Freezing and turning around, crumbs all over their chin, they stared at the newcomer with big bright eyes.

They swallowed and then spoke. "This is what it looks like." Then they offered an embarrassed grin.

Waking up in the middle of the night being crushed under the weight of a ball of fur the same size as a fully grown malamute was an experience that Alyosha had never thought he would have.

He had to say, he wasn't so pleased when it did happen to him.

After pushing the still unnamed Hellhound puppy off his chest and bringing his breathing back to normal, Lyo felt a nagging feeling in his stomach.

Midnight munchies.

His bare feet slapped against the wooden flooring of the hallway as he pushed his long blond hair from his face. He paused in his stride when he got to the doors of the pantry.

He only appraised the scene for a long moment before he reached out to one of the top shelves and snagged a box of cheese crackers.

Lyo had seen far too many strange things in this place to be bought up short by the sight of someone trying to steal food from the pantry.

Wow, that guy was huge! Daji was unsure about whether they were about to get beaten up, given the kinds of people that resided in this place. However, the man didn't say a word. The fox spirit felt half relieved, half disappointed.

"You won't tell anyone right?"

They continued shoving boxes of food, wrapped up pastries and the lot into their bag. If any of it happened to be Ti's, they would save it for him; otherwise, it was all their loot.

Lyo had opened the crackers and already bitten into one when the foxboy spoke.

He turned his intense blue eyes down to them and arched a slim blond brow.

"No?" It sounded more like a question. Was he supposed to tell someone that a person libing in the house was taking food? It wasn't like the food was off limits.

"... Okay."

Daji shoved the last of the food into their bag, turning and tiptoeing away from the pantry. As if they needed to be discreet; apparently no one cared if you stole all the food in this place. The only thing now left were the crackers that Lyo was snacking on.

"Seeya, Blondie."

"Okay," came the slow and highly confused reply as the fox tiptoed away.

He just stood there, clutching his box of crackers with his brows drawn together.

What had just happened?
