Mialina would have spent much more time thinking over the Lady of the house spying on them, but something much more important was on her mind. Her small hands squeezed the bag, distracted by the way it moved in her hands.

Cook a blood bag? Do they usually cook blood when it's not fresh? She blinked in thought, before thrusting the bag into his hands. "Yes, please." she stared up at him expectantly, wondering how he would cook a blood bag.

Jason looked at the blood in his

The brat.

But he had a soft spot for children so he smiled through gritted teeth.

"Only since you are new here." He gave her a wink before going over to the cooking area.

Grabbing a pan he put it on a low heat and let the slab of blood warm and melt on it.

Pleased with his complience, her face bloomed into a brilliant smile as she excitedly watched his progress. She took note for future reference, reopening the cupboard he grabbed the pan from and leaning in to see where he placed the dial on the oven to cook at.

Mialina tested the heat with her hand, leaning in and hovering her palm over tha pan. The more she knew, the more she didn't have to ask for more help. Satisfied that she could do this on her own the next time, she waited patiently by opening random shelves and cupboard and even checking the fridge.

As he waited for the blood to melt he watched her open and close cupboards with a raised shaped eyebrow.

Turning the heat up on the blood he began thinking of where to to take her next. The roof maybe? Storage room? Huh - there was not too many places left they could go and visit. Maybe they can go the the town? He need to hunt again.

Seeing the blood simmer, he poured it into the bowl for her and left the pan on the side.

"Here you go."

Mialina immediately accepted the bowl, her word of thanks forgotten as the heat seeped into her hands. Her eyes glowed as her hunger overwhelmed her and she placed the rim of the bowl to her lips. She gulped it down hungrily, the searing burn through her throat and tongue was nothing compared to her hunger.

She gasped in a breath of air as she finished the bowl. Licking her lips, she placed the empty bowl in the sink. Her tongue burned, but it would quickly heal. Satisfied, she turned and stared up at Jason to continue their tour.

"Didn't your mother teach you any manners." He joked.

Was that rude? A lot of people touchy issues here. Just his luck she probably does have an issue with her mother.

"Onward to the roof then? And then the town after?"

Walking and leaning on the door frame, he waited for an answer.

Mialina frowned, considering his question. "Maybe. I do not remember." she answered honestly, and for good measure grapped a napkin to pat at her mouth in case she had missed something. She nodded silently in agreement, throwing the napking away and taking the lead out of the kitchen. "What's in town? Won't everything be closed?" It was rather late after all.

Walking back down the corridor he shrugged.

"There are a few late night venues open, and a few casinos. Plus you can't forget the old loveable drunk."

He grinned down at her.

Easy prey they were, and entertaining to listen to before going in for the kill. Though, if he went for a thrill, they are at the bottom.

"This way!"

He lead her up another flight of stairs. And another. And another. He did not bother looking over his shoulder much now, trusting she could keep up.

Mialina slowed until Jason took the lead again and then she followed. None of the things he listed seemed at all interesting. Casinos wouldn't even allow her entrance anyway, and the average drunk avoided a random child wandering the streets.

The young girl stayed silent, thinking it over as she picked up her skirts to follow. Ah, skirts...besides the clothes she was wearing she didn't have any spares. "How would I buy new clothes?" she asked lightly, staring at her dress bunched together as they continued up the steps.

Bless.

"Now let me tell you, the internet is a saint. Now I know a lot of so called immortals who find it useless. But, the shops on their are open 24 hours. You just need to get a card or borrow someone else's and pay them back later."

Getting the the entrance of the roof, he swung the door open and strolled out onto it.

"Their are also a lot of shops run by the supernatural here, and they may stay open late to be vampire friendly. I can show you a couple of the shops if you want?"

The internet was an unknown place. But she would accept all the help she could get. She needed a new wardrobe, and fast. She frowned, patting at the pockets of her jacket thoughtfully as they exited onto the roof of the building.

She stepped forward into the night air, a breeze picking up around her skirts as she nodded her acceptance at him taking her shopping. Mialina stepped further onto the roof, taking in the outstretch of land far and wide. She blinked, slightly surprised at the rolling waves in the darkness. "There's a beach." she stated in surprise, stepping up onto the edge to get a better look into the distance.

Stepping next to her, he squinted a little -his eyesight was never as good as the average vampire. Not that he ever minded - it was still better then humans with outstanding eyesight.

"Yeah there is - it is pretty fun down there. I've been swimming there one or twice. Hardly any humans about - so you can mess about with your powers."

He grinned down at the blonde vampire. Even with here standing on the railing, she was still an inch or two shorter then himself.

"Want me to show you down there rather then the town?"

Mialina frowned, considering her options before she turned towards him. "Unless I wish to swim naked, the town will have to be first." She stepped off the edge of the building and let herself drop. In a flash, she was on the ground already walking casually passed the Vestibule.

Once he joined her, she had an envelope held carefully in her hands that she had removed from her jacket pocket. In cursive was her name and the picked at the seal for a moment thoughtfully. "Will we take a car?"

"Don't knock it until you've tried in."

Following her suit, he dropped to the ground - not bothering to push his dress down as he fell. Being nude never bothered him, despite it's inconsideration to others.

"If I want to appear human, I wither walk or take a taxi. If not, I just fly there. I can't drive so those are your options."

He glanced over the letter as he waited for her answer.

"I refuse." Mialina's quick response to the suggestion put and end to that. And she kept her eyes forward. If she had peeked a glance at him while he descended she made no reaction for him to tell or not. But something else caught her interest and she blinked, before turning her head to look back at him.

"Fly? You can do that?" Ah, that wasn't the important part. "Could I do that?" Yes, that was more important. Walking had never been very fun for her. She noticed his eyes wander and she narrowed her eyes accusingly, as if he'd suddenly snatch the precious envelope from her. She held it tight to her chest.

Remembering herself, Mialina looked ahead again. "I refuse to walk, so you may call a taxi."

Jason was a little surprised that she did not know - it was common knowledge with vampires. Though, he guessed created vampires that were not sired properly. She must be a fairly young vampire? At most younger then himself.

"Sure thing. Some vampires can transform into other beings and not just have a human form. Few can even transform it to two, or even three, animals."

His lips curled back into a grin, lifting his head a little.

"I have two."

Granted, it was the only thing he could do, and his lack of vampire standard of senses really did not make it impressive.

He was still a little proud of himself.

"Okay then! Though we will have to go to the entrance to use the phone - my mobile is in my room."

As he spoke, he began walking.

Mialina was fine with walking a little bit. It gave her time to ask questions. Two forms, of all things? Intrigued she rushed to catch back up to him, staring at him. Her question from before came back to her. "Could I do that? How do I know if I can do that? How do I do that?" If she could what animal would she transform into? She would want one that definitely could fly! Maybe something ferocious with big teeth! But it would still be nice if it was fluffy, too.

"One question at a time, please." He laughed.

Slowing down his pace to match hers, thinking her questions over a little before answering.

"Well, maybe?" He paused again, thinking over his answers again.

"It is something that can naturally to myself, so it might be for you? I think you have either got it or not? I don't know anyone that, say, studies for it."

Entering the vestibule he held his hand up, asking for a moment.

He turned to the hone, quickly phoning the local taxi rank and ordering one to take them down. Finishing the call, he turned back to the doll-like vampire.

"Good thing about being nocturnal is that you only have to wait 10 minutes for a taxi. Now, any more questions?"

Jason's answers were not suitable for Mialina's tastes. She frowned, her lower lip protruding in a childish pout. She cared little about the taxi, she wanted to see if she had this talent. There was no more questions she had for him, but demands were more her liking.

"I want to be a mourning dove." She stated, staring up at him as if he could suddenly transfer his power onto her. "I want to fly freely over obsticles and perch where I please." He said that not every vampire had these abilities but she was sure she had them, for she was prideful of her powers.

Jason smacked his lips together and shrugged.

"If you can do it, you can do it."

He paused again. She really did want to transform into one.

"Why not just... try? Next time you are free and not waiting for a taxi. It takes a bit of time to do the first few times around. Plus it is a little painful."

The look Mialina gave Jason showed just how much displeasure and disappointment she felt towards him. How very unhelpful! "Pain is nothing." she snapped, looking away from him, eyes narrowed. But from then on she let the matter drop. She'd look into it more on her own if he couldn't be anymore helpful. Remembering the letter in her hand she picked at the seal that was already loose from being reopened countless times before. She was content to wait for a taxi in silence.

His mouth turned into the grin at the withering look Mialina gave him.

"A little bit cocky there?"

As the girl fell into silence, so did he until a white taxi appeared.

"That's ours. Come on then."

He opened the taxi door, waiting for the blonde to get in before he did.

Mialina didn't think he was worth responding to as she tugged up her skirts to step up into the taxi. She scooted down to make room for him and made herself comfortable. Of all the futuristic wonders to be correct, she was most familiar with a car. It wasn't an extreme change from a carriage, and it was a luxury her last sire had so readily accepted. She had spaced out a lot while moving into the taxi that she was shocked when her hands were empty. Eyes widening, she looked into her lap, on each sides of her, and then leaning forward she awkwardly worked with her skirts to see her feet before letting out the breath she was holding.

Leaning down she picked up the envelope and checked its contents before placing it carefully in her lap. Satisfied, she looked out the window to see their progress.

[this is 500 years late and i'm sorry i was a little stuck on how to write this]

Jace nodded and winked to the flushing taxi driver - probably having flashbacks of last time they met. A quick exchange in Italian to confirm where they were going before his attention was back on the other vampire.

"Safety first!"

Not that either of them needed a seat belt if there was a case of a crash. Still, it was all for role.

Though her 'safety' was not on her mind as he watched with interest as she panicked next to him. he wondered what triggered the reaction. Did she lose something? Obviously yes as she found a letter with relief.

His immaculate nail tapped onto the seat belts buckle.

"You won't be alive for long to read that if you don't buckle up. Let me tell you the drivers here are awful."
