[C] New school, new problems

"Of course."

The best movies playing all the time would be great.

"Are we going to have just Russian movies or foreign films, too?" There were quite a few good foreign horror movies around.

Lyo smirked.

"That sounds great. Halloween specials."

Maks snorted and shook his head.

"Hell no, we will have movies from all over, we will have to do a lot of research going through the best ones."

Russia didn't have the best presence in the film community, he didn't want to restrict it by just taking Russian films.

"I'll have to get better at English to watch more American films."

"English isn't all that difficult."

He tugged Maks hair with a little grin. "You just need to listen better in classes."

Alyosha himself had found a penpal very quickly and was almost fluent in English now. He could speak it better than most of his teachers could.

"American horror movies are shit."

"I agree with you on that, but learning English will be better than having to learn every other language."

So many films were translated into English and not much else, it was better to be fluent in it especially since they didn't know where they would end up in the future.

"I heard some Japanese ones were meant to be weird as hell."

"You have to start listening in English class."

English was the most important thing Maks could learn.

"I'll start talking to you in just English and the only way you can understand will be to learn it."

Lyo grinned, tugging at Mak's hair roughly.

"They really are weird." He'd seen a couple Japanese movies. Some of them were just... so weird.

Maks whined as Lyo said he would only be speaking English when he spoke to him.

"I'll learn."

If it got him closer to his dream then he would pay attention in English class and learn to speaking the language properly.

At the moment the best he could manage was very broken English that no one would be able to understand.

"Good boy," he chuckled, ruffling Maks' hair again.

He had an obsession with playing with the boy's hair. He couldn't help it when Maks' hair was just there.

"Movie's starting."

His gaze turned up to the screen.

He understood the first two words easily enough, good and boy were amongst the commonly taught beginners words.

The second thing Lyo said to him was a total mystery and had his brows furrowing as he started up at the man.

"What?"

He muttered, looking around as the lights dimmed and turned off.

Oh!

Macs jolted upright and faced the screen in excitement.

Lyo grinned when Maks looked up at him in confusion.

The teen leaned back in his chair, settling down as the movie began.

Let the fun begin.

Now... would it be a good movie or a bad movie?

The movie turned out to be amazing, Lyo and Maks barely said a word to one another the entire time and a fair few jumps were shared.

Maks stared up at the screen, mesmerized by what he was seeing.

Watching a movie at the cinema had so much more effect than seeing it back at Lyo's on their small television.

The boy was completely in awe.

By the time the credits started rolling, Lyo was grinning widely to himself.

That was great. Definitely worth it.

He was definitely getting the video for that when it came out.

The three of them stood with the rest of the cinema did and made their way out into the foyer.

Maks looked up at Lyo as they exited the theater, that was not one of his favourite movies.

"Thanks for taking me to see this Lyo, that was awesome."

He could be a little shit at times, but when he was grateful, he did it well, it was easy to see from the look on his face that this wasn't something he would be forgetting any time soon.

Lyo ruffled Maks' hair when he grinned up at him.

"One that you plan to show in your cinema?"

He'd spend the entire night speaking in English now just to piss poor Maks off.

He'd force Maks to learn English even if it killed him.

Alyosha bid goodnight to Vara as the two exited the cinema and headed back towards home.

After a few minutes of walking in the dark, he grabbed Mak's shoulders and shouted in his ear suddenly.

Maks' brows furrowed as Lyo spoke, he tried to make sense of some of the words but it was hopeless, he didn't understand them at all.

He took his frustration out on Lyo, punching the man in the side for mocking him and his inability to speak the language.

Maks jumped when Lyo suddenly grabbed him and scream.
"Fuck!"

He jolted, pulling himself away from the boy.

"You're an ass."
He grumbled, embarrassed that Lyo had caught him off guard.

Lyo dissolved into a fit of laughter when Maks jumped.

The boy could pretend that he was big and strong all he wanted; Lyo knew that he was affected by these movies and he loved scaring him when they watched a particularly great movie.

"I know," he laughed, taking a few steps back to avoid Maks lashing out and hitting him again.

Maks was quite a violent person and Lyo knew that all too well.

"Vuck you."

He muttered, that was the one little bit of English that he had sort of picked up, though his accent was thick and he stumbled over the pronunciation a little.

When Lyo stepped away from him to avoid getting hit Maks scooped up a large handful of snow, compacted it and ditched it at Lyo, hard.

Lyo raised an arm to shield himself from the snow with a wide grin.

"Your gay is showing again."

He was enjoying teasing Maks like this. Alyosha was just about fluent in English an Maks couldn't even use one curse properly.

This would be the butt of many shared jokes in the future.

"I have no idea what the fuck you're saying!"

He scolded with frustration, god Alyosha was annoying as such he picked up another handful of snow and ditched it at the boy.

Maks growled and huffed as they walked back toward Lyo's house, he would have to learn English fast so it couldn't be used against him.

Alyosha laughed at the boy.

He was enjoying using this against him. Maks was going to hate English by the time he actually learned the language.

"I know you cant. Just makes it funnier."

He was really enjoying this.

"I hate you."

He grumbled and shot the boy a glare before walking up the street to Lyos door.

He stood in front of it with his arms crossed over his chest, it was cold out here, he wanted to get inside as quickly as possible.

"Hurry up."

"No you dont."

It wasn't until Lyo got to the door that he paused.

He cursed softly under his breath. He dropped speaking in English for the moment.

"Forgot to get the tomato," he sighed.

They had to head to the shop now.

Maks groaned at the realisation, they had to.

"Damn..."

He muttered before turning away from the door and heading back down the street to the store, thankfully it wasn't too far away.

"I can't wait for dinner."

He added, it was going to be awesome, he always loved Lyo's baking.

"Me, either."

He was looking forward to sinking his teeth into a nice hot home made pizza.

"You'll have to wait while I make the bases."

Then they could both pile whatever they wanted onto it and enjoy eating a nice hot home made meal.

"That's fine, I'll bum around and watch tv."

Television, a home cooked meal and then he would crawl into bed and pass out.

Despite sitting through an entire day of school today had been a really good day, he enjoyed spending this much time with Lyo.

"Yeah, right," he snorted.

"You can get the plates sorted and collect the toppings together."

Maks was going to help out. Lyo wasn't going to be doing everything himself. Not a chance.

When Maks stayed at his, he worked for his dinner.
