"I am sure you will." He said encouragingly.

Dick turned back to the window, finishing off cleaning it.

"Do you come in here to practice often?"

"I do now. Before, I used another room, but the floor was so unforgiving. The floor here was made for dancing."

He'd been coming here for months now. It had been dubbed his official practise area when he wasn't at work or at the theatre.

"I am glad this room is being used for what it is intended. It is a shame it is not used more often - for it's intended purposes."

He didn't want to think of the amount of times he has walking in on people doing god knows what in here.

Ti just gave a crooked and somewhat tight smile.

So he had used this place for things other than dancing, too. Oops. Better not tell Dick that one.

"It is a lovely room. It would be nice to see a dance heldhere."

He turned back round to face Ti and the ballroom.

"It looks absolutely gorgeous whenever a ball or party is being held." He smiled a little sadly. "It is a shame we don't ever hold them ever more."

He might bring it up with Gia. He would love to see the ball being brought back to life again, rather than collecting metaphorical dust.

Ti's lips twitched. "Like an honest to god ball?"

Ti was from an age of technology and drunken house parties (of which he had been to numerous). The idea of a real old-fashioned ball was funny to him.

"Like an honest to God ball," Dick repeated.

Ball's were Dick equivalent to Ti's house parties. In all honestly, they were not that much different. There was always drama and someone was probably sick in the sink. Although Dick would never admit that they were pretty much the same, except one was more snobby than the other.

"They were amazing. It would be packed in here. Everybody would be dancing and drinking."

Dick was never the most social at them, he just enjoyed the atmosphere... and the champagne.

"That sounds like it could be awesome or really shitty," Ti responded with a little smile.

Dancing and drinking could be fun.

Or it could be terrible.

It all depended on the mood of that moment.

Dick thought back over some more sour memories.

"Yeah they could be."

He dusted them away.

"Have you never been to one before then?"

Ti shook his head.

"Nu-uh. Never been to anything that fancy."

The best he had done was a sorta upscale after party at the ballet. It didn't come close to how Ti envisioned a ball.

"I may have to try and convince Gia to hold another one... It just feels like we would need an occasion?"

It would be odd to have a ball for the sake of having a ball. It has been done many before but the turnout is never great. People are more willing to go and make an effort if it is an occasion.
