Hideaki lay watching the new pup, tongue lolling out contentedly. Felix was finding it a little hard to walk, but he would have to practice if he was going to get any better. Which is what he would help him with.

Getting up, the elder wolf strolled around Felix's side, nudging him gently with his nose.

How many steps can you take?

Felix lay flat on the floor, he had fallen over again, this was much harder than it look when you saw older wolves walking around.

Four.

He grumbled, laying his head on his paws, he found himself getting easily frustrated which was normal in his newly changed form he would be highly irritable for quite some time.

You get used to it. It's just getting used to moving your front leg and back leg at the same time.

He walked round behind him, nudging him up again.

Try doing it more slowly, it helps.

He whined softly and stagger to his feet again.

This is ridiculous, I mean, how hard can walking be?

He sighed and shook his head, steadying himself before slowly shuffling his paws forward.
It was hard enough trying to walk on paws without have to get use to have four of them

That's good!

He gave an excited yip, dancing around beside him. His nose nudged against Felix's encouragingly before walking in front of him slowly, allowing him to study how was easiest to walk.

Though often, it was easier to find whichever way was easiest for you.

Felix took a few good steps before pausing to regain his balance, it was difficult trying to get use to having a different center of gravity though he looked at Hideaki's excitement for his little victory over walking and grinned, his tongue lulling out of his mouth happily.

He'd managed to take about six steps so far, a new personal best.

He bounded ahead a little, looking back at Felix as if to encourage him to chase him.

Come on!

He grinned back at him, tail wagging hopefully.

Not so fast!

Felix yipped in response and took slightly less timid steps towards Hideaki, managing ten steps before he needed a second to steady himself.

After a moment he picked up a little speed and made it the rest of the way to the older wolf, rubbing his muzzle against the man's neck.

Hideaki slowed down a little to allow Felix to catch up. He turned around, tail wagging enthusiastically, licking at the other wolf's muzzle to congratulate him.

That's brilliant!

He nudged his nose against Felix's affectionately once more before pulling away, darting across the lawn a little faster this time.

Can you get me?

Felix tried to run after Hideaki too quickly and landed flat on his face.

Ooof.

He muttered softly before getting back on his feet and shaking it off and making it over to were he was standing. His walking had steadied to the point where he could actually manage a jog.

He ran back towards him, helping to nudge him back up into a standing position. Nipping Felix's nose gently and playfully, he darted away again, a little slower this time to give the young pup more of a chance.

Nearly there!

Felix got to his feet and steadied him before setting off after Hideaki, he managed this time to get to the man.

The large white wolf beamed as he caught up, he was definitely getting much better at this.

He yipped happy at the older wolf's side, nuzzling against him.

You caught me.

The wolf grinned, tongue lolling out. He nuzzled up against the younger wolf to congratulate him, wagging his tail furiously as he bounded around him, giving the other wolf a playful nudge.

Do you need a rest or something more fun?

Felix barked joyfully.

This is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

He trotted a little circle around the older wolf, wagging his tail.

The pains of his transformation had died down and he was actually feeling alright in his new body.

He yipped and pounce onto the other wolf's back, tugging his ear playfully.

After all the seriousness of today, I think I just want to have a little fun.

He snorted in amusement, batting him with a paw playfully before darting a few steps away, tail wagging.

Want to learn to hunt? You don't have to kill if you don't want to, but chasing's fun.

He had spotted an old doe across the stream that would be a perfect target. Not as dangerous as a stag, and her age meant she would be fairly slow.

He tilted his head at the older wolf's question, wondering if he had the ability to hunt as a wolf.

I suppose I might as well try.

He replied as he gazed at Hideaki in a slightly anxious manner, he had only just learned to walk, he didn't want to hurt himself or anyone else by doing something stupid.

He caught the worried glance and nuzzled his nose reassuringly.

Don't worry, if you find it difficult, we can stop.

He wandered over to the edge of the stream, crouching in the long grass. The doe's head lifted a little, and he could see the whitish film over her eyes. She couldn't see him, nor could she smell him, as he was positioned in the direction of the wind so that it would blow away his scent. But the grass crunched a little as he crouched, so he had to be careful.

He jumped over the stream, landing almost silently on the other side, approaching the doe from behind. Letting a quiet growl to alert her of his presence, he herded her over the stream towards Felix, ensuring that she was directed just to the side of him so that there was no danger of her trampling him.

Felix lay low to the ground and watched Hideaki intently as he snuck around the doe.

He watched the older wolf's feet, taking note of how he ran and jumped, something Felix had not attempted to do yet but he was determined to learn how to use his new body.

His shoulder shifted slightly as the doe ran towards him, he was quite a big wolf, having been 6ft in his human form.

He waited until she was coming up beside him and pounced, hitting the animal in the torso and balling it off of it's feet.

The doe thrashed under the wolf's weight, filmy eyes wide and staring. Watching it closely, he wandered over and sank his teeth straight into its neck, piercing the jugular swiftly. The doe froze for a moment, then made a choking, spluttering sound and sagged to the floor.

He bounded around the doe, to lap at Felix's muzzle and face furiously with an excited whine.

That was amazing, Felix-san!

Felix whined happily and licked Hideaki back, nestling his face in the other wolf's neck.

Thanks, I guess I learned something from all those nature documentaries.

He chuckled softly and rose to his feet, shaking the dirt and grass out of his fur before looking over at the slain doe.

I still feel slightly guilty though.

Felix had a soft heart and didn't like the idea of killing but at the same time having helped in a kill pleased his inner wolf and he wagged his tail excitedly.

It's better to kill deer than to let out your aggression on somebody else.

Now that Felix was a werewolf, he would have to adjust to feeling a lot more anger than before. Hideaki found that hunting really helped. In fact, he wasn't sure what he'd do if he didn't hunt.

Tabemashou ka?

Felix tilted his head and looked at the older wolf in confusion.

I don't know Japanese.

He whined softly, he suspected he'd be meeting a lot more people who spoke a whole manner of languages.

He knew in the supernatural world he would be an absolute baby, a pup as Aodh had put it, now that he knew about the lycan's everything the man had said at the beach made a lot more sense.

Shall we eat? he translated, crouching down.

He glanced up at him, waiting for a response. Felix might still find it odd to be eating raw meat, or maybe not. The pup seemed to have adjusted fairly quickly to hunting, so eating raw meat might be about the same.

Uhhhh...

He walked back over to the dead doe and looked at it, in truth after going through his transformation he was starving.

He leaned in and lapped at the small amount of blood that seeped from it's neck.

It didn't taste disgusting like it would of if he were human, he figured he might as well give it a try, he wanted to adjust to this new life as quickly as possible, he didn't want to be the stumbling baby that needed constant watch.

Where do you start...

He whined, he had no idea about cuts of meat of where were the best parts to eat.
He licked his muzzle and looked back at Hideaki.

Try taking it from the flank or the rump. he advised.

The rump was easiest to get your fangs into, and the softest, but there was a bit of a stigma attached. But the does had gotten a bit fatter in her old age, so there was quite a lot of flesh around her flanks.

He demonstrated, ripping a small strip from the doe's side. It was a little tough, but it was the easiest thing for Felix to hunt right now.
