[O] [AU] Run.

Rai wasn't one to cry but in this moment tear were welling in her eyes. She didn't let them fall as she quickly wiped them away with the backs of her hands before taking hold of Angela's.

She gave a small, defeated nod, she was getting caught up in her emotions.

"I just....I wanna go home."
Waiting was incredibly hard, especially now that she was so close.

"You'll be home soon."

Her thumbs stroked the back of Rai's hands.

"We'll see them after they finish work, and you can go home with them, and you'll be home. Just a little patience. A little more, okay?"

Raisa gave a somber nod in response, she had to remember that people's lives had been continuing while she was gone, she couldn't just do as she pleased now that she was back.

Pressing forward she wrapped her arms around the woman, she needed comfort at the moment.

Angela didn't hesitate to return Rai's hug, holding the woman tight.

She didn't know what else she could possibly do to comfort the woman right now. Emotional people were not her forté, for sure.

But Rai would be with her family soon.

Raisa nestled her face in against Angela's neck, she gave a shaken breath as she tried her best to calm down.

It took a short while until her breathing evened out and she pulled away from the woman, wiping her eyes.

"I can wait, it's been two years, a few more hours won't kill me."

"Just a few more hours," she assured.

A few more hours and the happy family would be reunited. THere would be rainbows and unicorn farts everywhere.

It'd be beautiful.

Raisa gave a somber nod as she shook off the emotions that were plaguing here.

It didn't come as a surprise to her that she was overly emotional today, normally she never cried, she got angry not sad, but if there was ever going to be extraordinary circumstances then this was it.

"How are we burning time until then?"
She didn't want to spend hours moping until then.

"We're going to take Pedro for a nice walk. Exhaust the little shit."

Pedro did need to be exhausted pretty much every day to keep him from tearing apart the house.

"Then we're going to stop at the bakery. That nice one by the skating rink owned by the Spanish ladies? We're going to eat our weight in churros."

"Alright then, sounds good."
Despite her words she didn't sound overly excited on the detour.

She had to heart set on seeing everyone this very minute but if she had to wait then she could at least try to enjoy the day.
