Spooky Scary Skeletons [C]

Honestly, Dick didn't know why he suggested this. It was a terrible idea. Awful.

Fleck and himself have only (officially) been together for two weeks. He was not ready for this. He was not ready to visit Fleck's Family. Not just his parents. His whole family. His whole bloody family.

Dick was sure he was about to be sick.

He straightens out his black shirt and smoothed out his hair to ensure there were no frizzy pieces coming out of his ponytail. He needed to be presentable.

He hovered outside the gate for a few a moment, heavily debating just sprinting back to the mansion, and then made his way to the front door.

With a gulp, he knocked.

The door opened just a moment after Dick knocked, and a little kid no older than four looked up at him through the holes of a black domino mask.

The tiny Speedy clutched at the little yellow bow in his grasp.

He tilted his head, then turned around, running into the house and leaving the door open, screaming for his mom.

His mom was a tall blonde woman dressed in a leotard and a leather jacket. She held the Speedy on one shapely hip. "Process of elimination tells me you're Fleck's boy, right? Come on in. I think Fleck's chasing down the Flashes in the back garden."

Dick expected Fleck to be at the door, not a small child dressed up as... Robin Hood?

He watched as the child ran off screaming for his mom. He wanted to do the same.

The child reappeared attached to a tall blonde ladies hip. It was easy to assume it was his mother.

Dick debated on reaching out his hand to shake hers. Or was that too old fashioned now?

"Hi. Yeah, I'm Dick."

He decided to keep his hands by his sides.

"It's nice to meet you," he said. Nervous smile still in place as he followed her into the house.

"You, too, Dick. Really, we all thought we'd never see uncle Fleck actually bring someone home."

She laughed and bounced Speedy on her hip.

Just as she was about to lead Dick out into the garden, through the quite heavily populated kitchen (that looked very much like the a Justice League meeting demoted to the Kents' farm home plus a lot of alcohol and sugar) she was accosted by a man garbed in green. He laid a kiss to her cheek and muttered to her quietly in German.

She laughed and pressed a kiss to his cheek in return. "Just go right out that door, Dick. You'll find him at the bottom of a dogpile."

"Oh?"

He had it in his head that Fleck must have had multiple boyfriends and girlfriends. Past relationships weren't something they talked about. It was easy to assume that he had multiple relationships when virtually everyone he knows at the mansion had them. And in all honesty, he doesn't know if Fleck even likes girls. It was just an assumption he made.

His nervous smile turned into an award grin as he made his way into the kitchen. He didn't feel like he was over five centuries. He felt very much his physical age, eighteen.

With a quick thanks, he shot out the kitchen to find Fleck. He really didn't want to go greeting people on his own.

The blonde lady was right. Dick's grin relaxed.

"Having fun there?"

Fleck was under a pair of children. A little girl with ginger bunches in a cream and red suit, and a boy with an equally bright shock of hair wearing a bright red and yellow suit.

Fleck himself was wearing a suit black as pitch. The black was all that Dick would be able to see until Fleck moved. His arms wrapped around the waist of each child and he jumped to his feet, hoisting them both over his shoulders with a loud, playful grunt.

The movement did incredible things to the muscles of his back and shoulders under the suit, and with his back to Dick, Dick could see the way his broad shoulders stretched the fabric, and the bright blue arrow on the suit pointed to a firm ass hugged tightly by spandex. Tumbling down his back was his usual ponytail dyed an equally dark colour as his suit.

He turned when he heard Dick's voice, and his eyes lit up behind his domino mask when they settled on Dick. He started forwards, two struggling speedsters still squirming on his broad shoulders. "Dick!"

Dick's mouth formed a small 'o'.

His eyes' rested on Fleck's back, watching the muscles ripple under the spandex as he stood. From the top of his back to his lower back. Then they dropped even lower.

Dick was sure he wasn't going to survive tonight. This was all too much. Meeting Fleck's family. Seeing Fleck in that. Maybe he should sit down?

Instead, his eyes stayed low as Fleck turned around. It was hard not to look anywhere below Fleck's shoulders.

... Oh God, he was staring. With that, revelation he snapped his eyes upwards. A blush spreading to the tip's of his ears.

"Hi!" Why didn't the ground swallow him up when his voice went up a few octaves?

"Nice costume?"

Fleck stooped to let the kids off his shoulders and they ran off to an old greying man wearing blue jeans a red Flash shirt and a metal hat with small wings, who was sat on a bench a little further down the garden.

Then Fleck bounded up the few steps from the back porch to the garden and slid his arms around Dick's waist. He bent down to give Dick a long, slow kiss.

"I'd say the same, but you're distinctly lacking. What's up with that?"

He gently rested his hand's on Fleck's shoulders, returning the kiss. It was very difficult to get the suit off his mind. He felt that was going to be a theme for the evening.

"I'm dressed in black?" He shrugged. "In all honesty, I don't dress up for Halloween," unless he was forced to. Normally by Gia.

His head tilted back a little more and he raised his eyebrows.

"You dyed your hair?"

"We can't let that happen. If we don't find you a costume soon, you'll have the entire family trying to bring you onto their team. I say you join the batfam. We're the best."

Fleck flushed a little, cheeks pinking under his tanned skin.

He raised a hand to his head and ran it self-consciously over his hair. "I was held down and forced. It doesn't look too bad does it?" It was very close to his natural hair in colour, and he wasn't overly fond of it.

It was a difficult not to stop the groan from the back of his throat. He had hoped his black shirt would be enough.

He didn't exactly know who or what the Batfam was. A Batman thing he guessed? If he had to dress up he might as well join Fleck's side.

Dick smiled at the rare sight of Fleck blushing. He smoothed his own hand over Fleck's hair.

"I like it." Although he did like the blond more. "Who are you meant to be anyway?"

Fleck opened his mouth to answer, but was cut off by a giant mouth wearing jeans and a black shirt with a red House of El crest. "Night Wang, the boy blunder."

Fleck rolled his eyes, but grinned and raised his hand, giving his nephew a nice strong finger.

"Nightwing, the character that the first Robin became," Fleck corrected. "Ignore him. He's just jealous that the Batfam is better than the Superfam."

His breath hitched in surprise. The bubble that he and Fleck in were popped.

Dick had the horrible suspicion that he was surrounded by comic book nerds. As far as he was aware, there was only one Robin.

He took the man in front of him. He had the Superman icon on his shirt but it wasn't the whole costume?

He nudged Fleck.

"Can I just wear a shirt with the Batman icon on?"

"Dude, he didn't just seriously ask that, did he? You seriously want to get his ass into an actual costume before pops finds out he actually asked if he could skip out on suiting up."

Fleck shook his head slowly with a grin. He leaned down to press a kiss to Dick's forehead. "D'you think Jay's old costume'll fit him, Tommy? The Red Robin?"

Superboy crossed his arms over his chest and tilted his head. "Maybe. I mean, Jay was skinnier than your boy, but it should be all right."

"Awesome. Lets get you smuggled into Jay's room, then, before one of the big cheese's clock you."

His spandex-clad arm slid around Dick's shoulders and led him back into the house. "I promise the costume isn't that bad, and with a bit of spray in dye you'll look perfect."

Dick frowned. As far as he could tell, whoever this was was not wearing a costume. He held his tongue and leaned into the kiss Fleck pressed on his forehead. He continued to listen to the... brothers? Cousins? Uncle and nephew? It was difficult to say.

As Fleck's arms slide around his waist he wanted to stand there and refuse. Besides, he didn't to make a scene. And if dressing up will impress Fleck's family then he had no choice.

"I am holding you up to that promise. And I am not dying my hair."

"It's spray dye. It'll wash out, like, tomorrow." Maybe the day after. t wasn't like it was anything permanent.

"Tim has black hair, so you'll be really out of place. No Aryan Robins running around."

He leaned down to press a kiss to Dick's temple as he skirted past Martian Man Hunter chatting away with Captain Marvel.

"I think it'd be cool to see you with black hair."

That gave Dick piece of mind. Although he was always under the impression Halloween costumes didn't have to be accurate.

He made awkward eye contact with a green man.

"Shouldn't I meet your family? I feel a bit rude walking past and not introducing myself."

The whole way over to Fleck's house he couldn't stop thinking that he will walk into the house and it will be like an interview. Himself on one side of the table and Fleck family on the other. All judging if he is right for Fleck.

"I will just look like a ghost. I guess that goes with the Halloween look?"

"Not until you're in costume."

Fleck grinned widely. "If nothing else, being Robin might make you feel a little more invincible, right?" He knew Dick was nervous about this meeting, and hiding behind a mask could help him just a little.

Fleck nudged Dick into a familiar room: his brother's cinema room.

"I think the pale 'night walking' thing goes with a vigilante that spends all of his time out after dark, don't you?"

He dropped a kiss to Dick's lips. "Stay right here. I'll be out with the costume in a sec." Then he slid behind the curtain

"I guess?"

He really didn't know anything about Batman beyond the 60's show. As far as he was aware there was only Batman and one Robin. Was Red Robin just another version of Robin?

He smiled after the kiss.

"Okay, I till try and not to run off."

He sat on the edge of the arm rest as he waited for Fleck.

He was back out into the 'cinema' area just a moment later, holding out a red and black spandex affair.

"I'll let you shimmy your ass into this, then we can move out into the bathroom for the hair and mask."

Fleck handed over the suit then sat down on the couch, pulling his phone from under the strap of one of the bracers on his wrist and fiddling around on it, giving Dick the privacy he needed to change.

He felt the material in his hand and stared at the material... Surely not?

"You are joking me, aren't you?"

He held it out in front of him. It covered his body at least. But was leave little to the imagination... At least it had a cape?

"Is it really appropriate for me to wear this in front of your parents?!"

Fleck laughed and just continued to play around on his phone.

"They'll be impressed that you're falling into the nerdery that is my family. Dad'll like you right off the bat."

Really, at Halloween, who cared if you met the parents wearing skintight spandex? Halloween was a time for fun.

"Don't be scared of the Flash, Timmy. Dick'll save the day," he mumbled with a little grin.

He huffed. If it impressed Fleck's Dad... He huffed again and stood up. He could see Fleck was on his phone and he was glad for the darkness, but he still made sure to stand in the corner of the room with Fleck's back to him.

With a slow inhale then exhale he quickly took off his clothes until he was down to his boxers. Another slow inhale and exhale. He stepped into the spandex, pulling them up his legs. It took some work. Once on he awkwardly pulled on the tip on his back cussing as he did so. He let out a small, satisfied cheer as it was pulled out all the way.

Now standing there with it on he grimaced at how tight it was. He might as well be standing naked, even with the cape drapped down his back. He wanted to wrap it around himself but he refrained for acting like a child.

He hesitated for a moment.

"Done."

"Yeah?"

His eyes flickered up from his phone, then he did a double take. He pitched a low whistle. "Look at you."

Fleck hoisted himself up from the couch and ambled over to Dick.

"I might have to insist on a spandex-only wardrobe. You look good."

His hands found Dick's hips and he leaned down to steal yet another kiss from him. "C'mon, lets get the rest of you sorted out before I get any more excited."

The bathroom was directly opposite Jay's room, and the counter besides the sink was already decked out with emergency Halloween cosmetics. Mostly coloured hair dye sprays, face paint and spirit gum. An empty box of semi permanent black dye was cast off to one side of the counter.

His face burned and he couldn't look at Fleck in the eye. He crossed an arm over his body.

"Thanks. Also, no."

Blue eyes met Fleck's brown eyes as he took his hands. His shoulders sagged down as Fleck kissed him, muscles relaxing.

He followed Fleck into the bathroom. He eyed the cosmetic on the counter. He really didn't want anything slathered all over his face. The spray-in dye was his limit.

From the cosmetics on the counter his eyes wandered up to his reflection in the mirror. He couldn't help but stare. Fleck was right. It was flattering. Still didn't make him any less uncomfortable in it. Physically and mentally.

"So when do we start drinking?"
