Down At The Beach

Maccon's jaw locked and she gave a playful growl.

With Maccon slowing him down and forcing him to stop, Aodh had enough time to catch up to Aeker, bowling him over and pinning his boyfriend down.

His tongue lolled out and he panted, drool spilling from his tongue and over Aeker's face. This was going to be fun.

Caught you.

Aeker grunted as he was forced to the floor, wincing slightly.
He looked up at the lycan, giving him a very unamused stare as saliva ran down his cheek and into his hair.

"I just know I am going to enjoy this."
He grumbled softly, reaching up to wipe the drool off of his cheek.

"I don't suppose there is any chance of you taking mercy on me is there?"

Nope.

He continued to pant, letting his warm saliva dribble down his boyfriend's face.

Maccon licked at Aeker's temple and cheek, tail wagging. This was going to be so much fun.

Aodh bent his head, running his tongue up the centre of Aeker's face, from chin to hairline, leaving a thick line of saliva.

Aeker refused to give them the satisfaction of reacting negatively towards being licked.

Instead he simply shut is eyes and pursed his lips shut to avoid the layer of saliva coating his face.

This was undoubtedly disgusting, and having a rather large wolf sitting on you was less that comfortable, more so given that his chest was still slightly sore.

A softly grumbling sound murmured in his throat as he voiced his disapproval of this situation.

Both canines snickered loudly as they continued to lick he vampire's face.

Do you think we should let him go? Aodh asked the dog.

She turned her back, kicking sand at Aeker so it stuck to the spit on his face then padded off down the beach.

Aodh laughed as he pulled off the man and followed his dog.

Aeker exhaled heavily in exasperation as sand flew over his face, lovely.

After they pulled off of him he pushed himself to his feet and rinsed is face off in the water.

Granted the water was cold and salty it was better than being covered in saliva and sand.

He sighed and pushed his damp hair from his face, tying it back up in a pony tail before strolling back down to beach toward the rock that Aodh had sat on earlier.

Aodh sat and watched Aeker as he washed off in the sea and strolled towards the rock he had dubbed home base.

Maccon retrieved her ball and padded towards the vampire, dropping it at his feet and looking up at him with wide, innocent blue eyes.

Come on, grumpy butt, come play with us.

He knelt down and stroked Maccon's head as he picked up her ball, before grabbing a handful of sand and dumping it on the husky's head.

"Revenge sweety."
He grinned down at her before throwing the ball and straightening up, chuckling to himself.

Maccon yelped, shaking her head to get rid of the sand.

But then she was bounding off after the ball, tail wagging, yapping excitedly. She loved playing fetch as much as she loved playing chase.

Aodh padded up to the vampire and sat next to him, rubbing up against his side as he watched the husky.

Aeker chuckled and sat down on the rock, folding his legs out in front of him as he watched the dog bound away after the ball.

He wrapped his arm around the wolf's neck, pulling him close and nestling his face in the long fur of his neck, running his fingers through it gently.

Even when he was in his wolf form, Aeker loved being close to Aodh.

Aodh nuzzled against the man as he was pulled closer.

A low rumbling started in his chest eyes sliding shut. He wouldn't admit it to anyone, but the fingers running through his fur could have been a little high; closer to his ear. Preferably behind it.

He enjoyed being pet far too much.

Maccon padded back, dropping the ball in front of the vampire again.

Aeker pecked Aodh's muzzle softly before leaning over to pick up Maccon's ball, ditching it as far as he could.

He smiled as Maccon bolted off again and turned his attentions back to the wolf sitting beside him.

He stroked the wolf's ears softly, his long slender fingers running through the fur as he scratched just behind his ears, loving the feeling of the soft fur under his touch.

Maccon was gone in a flash as soon as the ball left Aeker's hand.

The rumbling in Aodh's chest sounded louder as he eyes slid shut. He loved people messing with his ears; a trait he kept as a human, too.

His tail thumped against the damp sand as the vamapire scratched behind his ear. He gave a whine, head tilting into the touch.

He loved people petting him.

A warm smile spread across Aeker's face, he could not help enjoying seeing Aodh like this, tonight just seemed to calm and carefree.

He wished that they could have more nights like this, they seemed so fleeting, like the calm before the storm.

He exhaled heavily and leaned in against the wolf's shoulder, his fingers continuing to scratch behind his ear.

He leaned further into the touch, tail wagging harder.

But inside he was frowning a little.

That wasn't the exhale of a happy man; what's botherin' ya? he asked, silver eyes turning to gaze down at the man leaning on his shoulder.

Maccon had grown bored of carting the ball back and forth so was laying half way up the beach gnawing on a piece of driftwood.

He shook his head softly in against the wolf's fur, he didn't want to ruin the one peaceful happy night they had by discussing anything unpleasant.

"It's nothing Schätzchen, don't worry."
He smiled and looked up at the wolf with bright crimson eyes.

Aeker would have to remind himself not to sigh or exhale like that, he didn't want to be sharing his thoughts at the moment.

Aodh gave the man a dead stare.

If Aeker thought he believed that bullshit, he was delusional.

Aodh may act stupid, but he could pick up on peoples moods well enough after two thousand years.

And he didn't believe that nothing was bothering the vampire for one second.

The first thing that popped to his mind was the events of the other week. His eyes immediately turned to the ground and his tail curled around him. If he were standing it would have been tucked between his legs.

"Aodh, no."
He said immediately in a firm but gentle voice as he saw Aodh's posture change.

He moved to kneel in front of the lycan, placing his hands on either side of his muzzle, making the wolf look him in the eyes.

"It isn't about that, don't you even think that for a moment, you hear me?"

There was no hint of lying in his eyes, he was being truthful, this wasn't about what happened, it was just that everything between was so fast and intense that they never seemed to get a quite night to enjoy themselves like this.

Aodh stared into the vampire's eyes as he spoke but he just couldn't shake the events of that night out of his head.

His eyes turned away again.

He felt terrible for that night. And just because the vampire wasn't feeling down about it now, didn't mean that he wouldn't feel down about it in the future.

It wasn't something he was about to forget and he knew Aeker wouldn't forget it any time, either.

He leaned his forehead against the lycan's, this is exactly what he had been trying to avoid.

"Aodh please, dwelling on this doesn't help either of us and beating yourself up over it doesn't make it any better."

It hurt him to see Aodh like this, he hated seeing him like this, he didn't know what to do or say to him.

He just wanted to forget it and he wanted Aodh to forget too.

He gave a non-committal grunt.

It wasn't like Aodh to forget what he did wrong. The first tie two two of them met, Aeker had sussed that he was holding back from loving people because he had done so many bad things in his life.

He didn't want to remember what he had done, but he wouldn't be able to forget. He wouldn't let himself, no matter how unwilling the decision to do so was.

it'd always be there, niggling in the back of his mind.

Aeker ran his hand through the front of his hair and sighed softly in frustration as he got to his feet.

This was excruciating, Aeker liked to make things better, but he couldn't make this better, he couldn't make Aodh see that he was fine.

He pursed his lips softly and tore his eyes away from the lycan, staring out to the ocean instead.

Why didn't he fight harder against Aodh, he could have avoided all of this if he had done more.

Aodh stared at Maccon silently, shifting to lay down, resting his head on his paws.

And now the light, airy feel to the evening had been ruined.

Once again he had manage to spoil a nice calm evening with someone. he seemed good at that.

And now being in the vampire's presence was awkward. He rolled onto his side and curled into a ball, tail flicking over his muzzle.

His gaze stayed locked on Maccon.

Would they ever be able to move on from this...
Or would it be this ominous cloud that followed them around, snubbing out any hint of light that they managed to find.

"Aodh I..."
You're what? Okay? Aeker was far from okay.

He had been so worry about how Aodh had been feeling that he didn't even no how he felt about what happened.
If it wasn't for the marks on his body he would of doubted that the night was even real, it just seemed like another bad dream.

A bad dream. That was a good way to describe it.

It was something that he wanted to just blink and forget about. But, like a bad dream, it clung to him. For now he wouldn't be able to move forwards. Not until he felt like he had made it up to Aeker as much as he could for doing what he did.

Dont lie to me. Please.

He wouldn't be able to stand Aeker lying to him about that.
