[C] Get that Beach Body

Dick hummed into the kiss, mouth parting as the tongue ran over his lower lip. Biting his lip, he was left dissapointed as Fleck pulled away.

He eyes there water as Fleck shifted him to let him down in the water.

"I hope you don't drop me in an undercurrent."

He was left relieved as his feet touched the ground and the water came just below his ribs.

Fleck's hands skimmed up Dick's sides, and one grasped his hand.

"I'll save you if the water gets the best of you." He grinned a crooked twinkly-eyed smirk.

Dick went from eyeing the water to eyeing Fleck.

"I don't trust that look... Maybe I should go and check on the bags?"

He could see they were perfectly safe behind Fleck. Even Fleck will be able to see they are safe at this time. It wasn't dark yet.

Not trusting the look was probably Dick's best chance at survival.

"Go on then, go save our bags." He patted Dick's hip, giving him permission to escape his mischievous clutches.

"I think there's a gull looking at them pretty sinisterly."

"Wouldn't it be a shame if he stole all the food?"

Dick turned and waddled out of the water, grimacing as he stepped onto dry land. His trousers felt heavy and stuck to his legs. It was horribly unpleasant.

"I hope you were lying when you said you said you had fresh clothes... For your sake."

The food that had already been given to the gulls?

But he let Dick waddle away without comment.

"My bag!" he called out as he rocked backwards so he was floating on his back in the water. "Should be a pair of shorts and a shirt in there."

He hesitated about going through Fleck's bag. It felt rude. Even with Fleck's permission.

He carefully rummaged through it before pulling out a pair of short and a T-shirt - both would be too big for him. The shirt he could deal with, it will just hang awkwardly on him. The short on the other hand would slip right off him.

"Do you have a belt?" He called over to Fleck.

"Don't you, like, always have a belt?" Fleck called back.

From what he had noticed, Dick had a good supply of belts. Though he honestly couldn't recall whether Dick was wearing one at the moment.

Dick looked down.

"Oh."

He almost wanted to smack himself for being - dare he think it - blond.

Picking up the clothes he hesitated. He didn't exactly want to get changed in the middle of the beach. Looking around there wasn't anyone around except himself and Fleck... but still.

Fleck was blissfully unaware of Dick's slowly growing anxiety over where he was going to change.

The waves continued to lap at his body as he floated

He hesitated and debated some more. Looking at Fleck, around the beach, at the clothes and then back to Fleck.

He knew he was a lot quicker than other people. Nobody has walked past in the last minute either. It wasn't as if he has never done this before, yet the anxiety still gnawed on him

He made a decision.

"Fleck, you won't mind just looking out at sea for a minute?"

"Sure."

And he proceeded to do just the opposite.

Really, if Dick hadn't mentioned it and just done, Fleck may not have even realised that he was doing it.

But the chance to see his boyfriend changing? Well, Fleck was only human.

Dick frowned as Fleck turned towards him. That was defiantly not what he wanted Fleck to do

"I am pretty sure the ocean is that way."

He pointed and pursed his lips. He really didn't want to play this game. Especially when his clothes were sticking to him.

Fleck just stuck his tongue out then obediently turned away.

There would be other times, he supposed.

Fleck had been patient up until now. He could be patient for a little longer.

A relieved smile replaced his pursed lips.

"Thanks!" He called out.

There were very few times recently that Dick took advantage of his vampiric speed. Today was an exception. He was surprised he didn't tear something.

"You can turn back around now," he called again, folding his wet clothes into a towel.

"You look pretty good in my clothes," he called out when he was allowed to gaze upon his boyfriends form again.

"Love the ten sizes too big look," he teased.

Dick kinda looked like a kid playing dress up in his parents clothes with the way his large shirt swamped him.

"They are not that big," he argued. Although he felt exactly like what he looked. He was glad there was no mirror around to see how ridiculous he looked.

He began gathering their things so he could make his way down the beach to the shore.

"You going to stay in there all night?"

"I might."

Fleck shifted so he was standing again.

"Miss me up there, do you?"

"It's a little lonely."

He spread the blanket out, taking the opportunity to shake out the sand.

"It's gotten dark, hasn't it?" He commented.

The sky has gotten just dark enough that he could make out Jupiter and a few other stars more clearly. The nights were coming in a lot sooner. He expected a lot of the vampires were celebrating back at the mansion.

"Yeah, finally."

He waded through the water then wandered towards Dick, brushing wet clumps of hair from his face and shoulders.

"I like the night better." He'd always been more productive in the evening. It was just how he had always been.

It was very difficult not to watch the water droplets slide down Fleck's abs. Dick decided he found the sand extremely interesting.

He didn't like the sense of relief when Fleck mentioned he liked the night better.

"It is a lot more peaceful."

Although he found he liked both the nighttime and the daytime these days. There were perks for them both.

"Do you work mostly at night then?"

"My work seems to be a nine to five job."

he dropped himself on the blanket next to Dick, not caring at all that his shorts were wet.

"Just not the typical nine to five." His lips quirked into a crooked smile.

Dick frowned. First at Fleck making the blanket wet, then at how it can't be a typical nine to five job.

"Not a typical..?" It clicked. "Oh!" He laughed.

"I am surprised you are even awake for most of our dates!"

Or maybe he was too tired himself from his own odd sleeping schedule.

"You get used to only sleeping a few hours a night after a few years."

It wasn't so healthy, but Fleck lived on an average of about four hours sleep a night. Every now and again he'd end up sleeping about eight, but those were rare.

A line was drawn between Dick's eyebrows again.

"You need to sleep more. It isn't good for you."

He bumped Fleck's shoulder with a smile.

"Plus you will get wrinkles quicker."

Although he probably wasn't the best person to give advice. His sleeping schedule was all over the place. Although he had the excuse of being... not human.
